Most enterprises today place security as a top priority and enabler, regardless of whether their business goals are to grow and transform or increase the agility and quality of service delivery of their organizations. Similarly, a clear majority of executives in private and public sectors agree that migration and adoption of the cloud is key to accomplishing the security imperative.

While there may now be a broad and implicit understanding, as shown in the Security in the Age of AI report, that the public cloud is more secure than traditional data centers, it is nevertheless important to enumerate all the reasons why this is so.

As Sr. Director, Security Product Management in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Johnnie is responsible for the security value proposition of Oracle's Cloud Platform. She leads development of go to market strategy, as well as field and customer evangelism and enablement. She has spent more than 20 years bringing security products and technologies to market, most recently for Microsoft’s Enterprise Cybersecurity Group. She has in prior roles led product, business development and marketing for security industry leaders including Gigamon, Juniper Networks, Varonis and Check Point software. In earlier years, she designed cellular infrastructure networks as a CDMA engineer for Motorola Inc. A frequent speaker, blogger, and contributing author, Johnnie’s work has been featured in trade and business press as well as leading security conferences.
