One of the most rewarding activities included with OpenWorld each year are the hands-on labs.  It’s a rare chance for us work directly with our customers and show them what we’ve built, the use cases we intended to be covered by the product, and how we expect our products to be used to solve real problems.

We’ve prepared a real treat for those of you coming to OpenWorld 2019.  This year’s Database Security hands-on lab will give you practical experience with a new cloud service we’ll be releasing later this year.  We’ve been working on this new service for over a year and are really excited to deliver it to our customers.

The hands-on lab walks through several new capabilities to secure databases in the cloud, including new tools to assess risk in the database, discover sensitive data, mask sensitive data, manage database auditing, and analyze audit data.  You’ll learn how to provision the service, connect it to database targets for monitoring, and how to use the different capabilities within the service. We’re doing four sessions – one each day.
