Oracle Cloud Containers, Serverless, and Kubernetes at Dockercon 2018

Bob Quillin
Vice President Developer Relations

Make sure to check out the latest containerization, serverless, and Kubernetes updates from the experts at the Oracle Booth S3 this week at Dockercon 2018. We’ll have a crew of our cloud native evangelists and engineers there to answer questions and demo – so drop on by, say hello, and grab some swag.

Later today - Thursday, June 14 – at 3:50 pm plan to attend the Serverless Panel at Innovation Room 2020. Along with Chad Arimura from the Fn Project there will be veritable who’s who in the serverless world including Anthony Skipper (Galactic Fog), Yaron Haviv (Nuclio), Michael Behrendt (OpenWhisk) Alex Ellis (OpenFaas), Idit Levine (Solo.io), and Patrick Chanezon (Docker).

This panel will include leaders from the top 5 container based serverless frameworks - Fn Project, Galactic Fog, Nuclio, OpenWhisk and OpenFaaS, and from the Gloo project to discuss the state of portable serverless frameworks on container platforms.

If you’re developing container-native applications on Kubernetes, you’ll want to learn more about the Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Registry

  • Container Engine for Kubernetes is a fully managed and enterprise-ready cloud service.  It combines production-grade container orchestration of standard upstream Kubernetes with the security, control, and high predictable performance of Oracle’s next generation cloud infrastructure.
  • Registry is a private container registry service providing highly available storage and sharing of container images within the same regions as your deployments.

We’ll see you at Dockercon 2018 in San Francisco!
