KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2018 has kicked off with a content rich pre-conference day on Monday and more rollicking momentum on Tuesday, full of keynotes, sessions, great conversations, demos, and hands on labs on the showcase floor!

The Oracle Cloud Native Culture & Industry Summit on Monday was jam-packed with labs, demos, sessions, and a great panel focused on "Cloud Native Past, Present, and Future".  Check out this video for some highlights.

On Tuesday, Oracle announced the Oracle Cloud Native Framework - an inclusive, sustainable, and open cloud native development solution with deployment models for public cloud, on premises, and hybrid cloud.

The announcement also launched six new Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services including Oracle Functions, Resource Manager, Monitoring, Notifications, and Streaming.

One of the annual highlights is The New Stack Pancake breakfast - this one focused on serverless trends and futures - "Mono to Micro to FaaS, a Macro Challenge."

Kaslin Fields from the Cloud Native Labs team moderated an awesome session on "The Cloud Native Meetup Community A-Z" with a range of key industry meetup experts.

For more highlights from Tuesday, check out the video and we'll see you at the Oracle booth.

On the showcase floor make sure you stop by the Oracle Booth and Lounge to try your hand at some great labs all for a great cause - Women Who Code.  There are lightning talks, demos, and a range of subject matter experts to answer all your cloud native questions - from Kubernetes to serverless to the Oracle Linux Cloud Native Environment.
