Abu Dhabi Customs is one of the first government entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to establish a number of government departments like finance, customs, and ports. To support the six main pillars at the center of their vision, trade facilitation, revenue administration, security, human resources, organization capability, and technology, they have chosen Oracle Cloud as a partner in their transformation journey.
In an interview, Dr. Ebrahim Al Khajeh, the Division Director of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi customs, said their biggest focus is on “innovation, investments, and people” so they can build an HR with zero human error in 2020. By leveraging Oracle Cloud HCM and Oracle Digital Assistant, Abu Dhabi customs successfully consolidated 14 different HR models into one comprehensive cloud system enabling them to improve productivity and drive innovation with embedded Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
“We are using the innovative technologies from artificial intelligence, from machine learning, from the analytical tools - all of those are embedded in the cloud. And by default, every three months, it will update itself. So I don't need to re-engineer my policies every year”, said Dr. Ebrahim Al Khajeh.
Within a year of implementing, Abu Dhabi Customs saw an impressive 24% decrease in cost, a 20% increase in revenue, and every employee was saving at least one hour a day from administrative work.
