If you caught Larry Ellison’s CloudWorld keynote last month, you know how important security and the concept of zero trust are to Oracle. We’re excited to announce the early preview of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Zero Trust Landing Zone, a new solution that enables one-click provisioning for both a secure, high-performing architecture for your cloud tenancy, with deployment and hardened configuration of key services needed to meet certain requirements based on recommendations set forth by the US and other government agencies world-wide.
Next, our latest addition to Oracle’s Edge Cloud portfolio, Oracle’s second-generation Roving Edge Device (RED) delivers extreme processing power, seamless connectivity, and embedded security at the edge of networks and in disconnected locations. RED introduces a new GPU-optimized configuration with compute and storage optimized to provide customers more flexibility with their deployment options. You can run multiple workloads, from enterprise apps to AI, and select OCI services at the edge with simplified deployment, excellent price-for-performance, and superior security, including the ability to run isolated or air-gapped. If you have application workloads that you need to deploy at the edge that require a scalable, secure, and flexible platform with the benefits of cloud technology and economics, check out RED.
Finally, we can’t close out the headlines without mentioning AI! OCI Generative AI Agents with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) represents a significant leap forward in our journey to empower developers to easily build conversational agents with RAG capabilities. Available now, with support for Oracle Database 23ai, OCI Generative AI Agents brings AI to your data. RAG combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with enterprise knowledge repositories to help ground model prompt-responses in business data. OCI Generative AI RAG Agent is a ready-to-use solution for users to converse with documents in their knowledge bases.
To meet the rapidly growing demand for its AI and cloud services, Oracle plans to invest more than $6.5 Billion to open a public cloud region in Malaysia. This investment affirms our commitment to Malaysia as a regional gateway for cloud infrastructure and a comprehensive suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications deployed within Malaysia. Malaysia will be our 12th cloud region in Asia Pacific.
