Oracle OS Management Hub, which lets you gain better control and visibility of your operating system (OS) environments, now supports updates of Oracle Linux systems using software sources from third-party vendors and your private applications. This means that you can automate, streamline, and simplify the management and monitoring of updates and patches for your Oracle Linux systems that use Oracle and non-Oracle software repositories, all through a single management console in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). For further details on using third-party and private software sources, refer to the documentation.
Maintaining security compliance, high availability, and optimal performance for your enterprise IT infrastructure is critical for your business. These systems require ongoing updates and patch management, which can be labor-intensive, error-prone, and complex—especially for larger deployments that are distributed across on-premises and cloud environments. OS Management Hub is a managed service that simplifies the management and monitoring of updates for enterprise operating systems at scale, boosting productivity and operational efficiency. OS Management Hub manages Oracle Linux systems across distributed environments—in OCI, private data centers, and supported third-party clouds—making it easier for you to view and manage your OS and software deployments at scale. In addition, OS Management Hub can manage your OCI Microsoft Windows Server instances, giving you a single pane for consolidated management of these environments.
The latest OS Management Hub service update also includes the following new features and console enhancements:
