Announcing new features for Oracle Support Rewards

In June 2021, Oracle launched Oracle Support Rewards, a program that provides Oracle license customers with rewards for using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services. You can apply rewards can a form of payment against eligible on-premises support of Oracle technology programs.

Oracle continues to improve the program’s versatility, value, and ease of use. We’re pleased to announce some enhancements.

Extend value with cross-country and currency redemption

Customers enrolled in the program can now redeem rewards earned in one country or currency against eligible open invoices in a different country or currency. Some country exceptions apply because of local regulations.

Get more control with redemption codes

Each enrolled OCI subscription now has a unique redemption code, which can be conveniently shared with any authorized user. Users can decide which subscription to redeem rewards from. By entering the redemption code in Billing Center, the authorized user can access the rewards accrued and apply them to their eligible tech license support invoice.
Redemption codes also support the management and redemption of rewards with partners who serve Oracle customers using our self-service process.

Choose who can redeem with rewards delegation

The redemption of rewards is no longer limited to only the bill-to contact on an invoice. Currently, the Billing Center’s shared invoice access functionality allows bill-to contacts to delegate others to pay their invoices. Now, delegated users can also redeem the authorized bill-to contact’s rewards against those eligible invoices.

View redemption activity with the Rewards Center

All rewards redemption activity across invoices can now be accessed in the Rewards Center within the Billing Center. The Rewards Center lists the invoices to which rewards have been applied, along with other redemption details. The list includes filtering capabilities to refine visibility of where rewards have been redeemed.

Understand rewards eligibility

In the Billing Center, a more detailed breakdown about the amount available to redeem is displayed for each eligible invoice with a convenient hover-over text box. This feature provides more transparency and better understanding of the rewards that can be applied.
