Abhiram Annangi
Principal Product Manager - Cloud Marketplace

At OpenWorld 2019, we’re pleased to highlight some new and existing independent software vendor (ISV) partners who bring ground-breaking solutions to the Oracle Cloud Marketplace to support your critical data-management and analytics use cases. These partner solutions are available as images and as fully integrated Terraform-based stacks that you can deploy with a click. In addition, you can bring your own license (BYOL) or choose a newly launched paid listing so that you can leverage third-party solutions and pay by the hour, or use your Oracle Universal Credits (UCM), and take advantage of a single, consolidated bill.

This post highlights some key partners who offer innovative solutions in data management and analytics that integrate well with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's high-performing compute, storage, and database services to power your Big Data and analytics projects.

Data Management

You know that Oracle is a data company. But you might not know that, in addition to our flagship Oracle Database and Oracle Autonomous Database solutions, we collaborate with many leading ISV partners to offer additional data-management solutions on the Oracle Cloud platform. These solutions include NoSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and connectors for Hadoop, Kafka, and Spark. With this broad range of solutions, you can drive any data management use case from data warehousing to Big Data.

Couchbase

Couchbase Server is an open source, distributed, NoSQL document-oriented database and key-value store. Some common Couchbase use cases are Customer 360, Field Service, Catalog and Inventory Management, and IoT Data Management. Couchbase offers various data connectors for Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop, making it well suited for an enterprise’s Big Data ecosystem.

Using the Marketplace solution stack for Couchbase Server, you can deploy the core NoSQL database. And by using the Couchbase Server solution stack, combined with other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure first-party, cloud-native services like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Streaming and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, you can quickly build various distributed microservice Big Data architectures.

“Enterprise applications today require support for multiple types of databases in order to drive their myriad of use cases. By having our cloud native database management platform available on the Marketplace for integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we are truly offering choice for enterprises looking to run business-critical applications on a highly scalable and available NoSQL platform. Couchbase is built on open standards, combining the best of NoSQL with the power and familiarity of SQL, making it easy for Oracle customers to adopt.” —Matt McDonough, Vice President of Business Development, Couchbase.

Couchbase Server and Sync Gateway are available for you to consume on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace as either BYOL or you can pay as you go by the hour.

Kinetica

Kinetica provides a cloud-ready, GPU-accelerated active analytics platform that offers streaming and historical analytics, location intelligence, and machine-learning-powered analytics.

Oracle Cloud customers can leverage Kinetica’s streaming analytics capabilities to perform real-time analysis on data as it flows in by ingesting the data from the Streaming service or a Spark streaming cluster. With the help of Marketplace, customers can deploy the Kinetica platform and integrate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Streaming (Kafka compatibility) with Kinetica by using Kinetica’s Kafka connector. In addition, customers can connect their Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) instances to Kinetica by using ODBC and JDBC connectors, and use Kinetica as a unified analytics solution on Oracle Cloud, for both historical and streaming data.

“Kinetica’s ability to perform streaming and historical analytics, location intelligence, and machine learning complements Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s native services. By integrating our Kafka Connector with Oracle’s Streaming service and Oracle Autonomous Database, enterprises can take advantage of unified analytics leveraging our joint solutions.” —Samm DiStasio, VP of Business Development, Kinetica.
