Introducing Oracle Cloud Developer Certification and Free Training Resources from Oracle University

Rohit Rahi
Senior Director, Product Management, OCI

I’m excited to announce a new Developer Associate certification for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure that’s available immediately. This developer-centric certification is meant for all application developers who are interested in learning more about using Oracle Cloud to build modern enterprise applications. With this addition, we now offer five distinct certifications for architects, operators, and developers on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Go to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Training and Certification page to learn about the certifications.

Certification Details

The Developer Associate certification is intended for developers who have six months of experience in developing and maintaining applications. Developers need to have a solid understanding of cloud native fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of at least one programming language. They should demonstrate knowledge of developing, securing, testing, and operating applications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and the ability to use the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure service APIs, CLI, and SDKs to write applications. Practical knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture, use cases, and best practices is recommended.

The certification exam is 105 minutes long, contains 60 questions, and is currently available in English only.

  • You can review the topics and schedule an exam at Pearson VUE.
  • To help you prepare for the certification, we’ve made the full coursework and study guides available free of charge (see the following section for details).
  • At any time, you can assess your readiness by taking a practice exam, also available free of charge.

Strong Developer Momentum with Oracle Cloud

Oracle is committed to supporting enterprise application developers as they transition IT functions to the cloud. We’ve built a comprehensive suite of offerings tailored to supporting application developers in their efforts to modernize workloads, without sacrificing security, compliance, or reliability. We offer a deep portfolio of services that gives developers the tools that they need to innovate while maintaining portability and the ability to use existing tools and environments.

  • We offer a managed Kubernetes service, Container Engine for Kubernetes, plus a container Registry, where we only charge for resources consumed.
  • Our serverless offering, Oracle Functions, is based on the open source Fn Project, a container native, serverless platform that can be run anywhere, including other clouds and on-premises.
  • In the area of infrastructure automation, our Resource Manager managed service helps you install, configure, and manage resources through the Hashicorp Terraform infrastructure-as-code model.
  • We also offer managed services for your API endpoints (API Gateway), pub sub (Streaming with Apache Kafka compatibility), Notifications, Monitoring, unified serverless database (Oracle Autonomous Database), NoSQL database, and many other services.

Booster Fuels is a great example of an early adopter that has used our services to develop and run a 100% cloud native stack on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Watch how they are using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to reinvent energy delivery.

We'd love to hear your feedback. Send us an email at oci-enablement_us_grp@oracle.com.
