Announcing Kasten K10 support for Data Protection of Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes

The adoption of Kubernetes in enterprise software development has led to applications being deployed, patched, and scaled faster, improving customer experience and time to market. We are excited to announce that Kasten by Veeam now supports OKE clusters to backup and restore to further protect your data and mitigate against the risks of disaster of your Kubernetes application workloads on OKE.

Reduce your Kubernetes costs with preemptible nodes

Preemptible virtual machines (VMs) are Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)'s equivalent of spot instances that provide a 50% discount off regular virtual machine (VM) instances pricing. Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) now supports the use of preemptible VMs on your Kubernetes clusters as worker nodes. This enables you to run your fault tolerant containerized workloads on your cluster to take advantage of these cost savings.

OKE Workload Identity: Greater control of access

We're pleased to announce the general availability of Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) Workload Identity. This feature provides fine grained enterprise-grade identity and access management control. This feature allows you to grant Kubernetes pods policy-driven access to OCI resources using OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM).
