They can now identify and retrieve the blocks that changed between two backups directly in order to analyze and optimize their backup workflows.

Announcing customer-managed keys for cross region volume replication and policy-based backup

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Block Volume service now supports the use of customer-managed keys for asynchronous cross-region volume replication and scheduled policy-based backup copy across regions. This enables customers who must use their own keys for compliance and regulatory requirement. They can now meet that criteria for adopting and taking advantage of this feature.

Shatter the Million IOPS Barrier in the Cloud with OCI Block Storage

We are pleased to announce that you can now achieve up to an aggregate 1.3 million I/O operations per second (IOPS) and 12 GB/s throughput per OCI Compute instance with the OCI Block Volume Service. In addition, you can also attach up to 32 Ultra High Performance (UHP) volumes to a single compute instance. This service update is particularly useful for high I/O workloads, such as AI/ML, OLTP, data warehousing and analytics, databases with large data sets and extensive complex processing.
