Announcing integration of Service Connector Hub with Logging Analytics

The Service Connector Hub helps you move data between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and from OCI to third-party services. Service Connector Hub currently moves logs from the Logging service to services such as Object Storage, Streaming, and Monitoring for extra processing and meeting compliance storage needs. Service Connector Hub also triggers functions for custom log processing and sends notifications about changes to cloud resources.

Today, we’re excited to announce the Service Connector Hub integration for moving logs from the Logging service to the Logging Analytics service. The Logging Analytics service is a machine learning-based cloud service that monitors, aggregates, indexes, and analyzes all log data from on-premises and multicloud environments. It enables searching, exploring, and correlating logs for troubleshooting issues and gaining insights for effective operational decisions. You can now seamlessly move your audit, service, and custom application logs from the Logging service to the Logging Analytics service without writing a single line of code.

Use case: Easily enable advanced log analytics and exploration

Developers and DevOps teams rely on logs for observing their applications and infrastructure and for troubleshooting issues. The Logging service helps today by capturing audit, service, and custom application logs, which provide full insights into your control plane and data plane activity. You can now make these logs more actionable by moving them to the Logging Analytics service using the Service Connector Hub. Logging Analytics simplifies troubleshooting by offering topology-aware log exploration capabilities to dive deep into relevant logs for the impacted environments and the time of the incident. It relies on machine learning for rapidly identifying patterns and anomalies in thousands of logs and millions of log entries. Select the source as Logging and target as Logging Analytics, and Service Connector Hub begins moving logs from Logging to Log Analytics without writing a single line of code.

Getting started

Service Connector Hub’s integration with Logging Analytics is available in all commercial regions. There is no charge for using the Service Connector Hub. You only pay for the source and destination services between which it moves data: Logging and Logging Analytics services.
