I am the pathfinder

Hello me again,

as you already know, I love to stroll through the forest with Jetti. Every time it is a new adventure. She and me are an excellent team. I go in front and peek around and check out every path. And if I'd be able to, I would shield my eyes with my praw and spy with slitted eyes, like one of these scouts you'd often see in old western. When I finished the discover I elegantly hop around on my hind legs and sprint back the path. That's fun!
One day we went off-road through the forest. Jetti and me followed a fox track over a little hill when all of the sudden that fellow stood in front of us. We freezed, and then this little bastard snapped at us. - Woof, beat it!
We were so sc... surprised, that we really forgot to chase him. Never mind! Next time his number is up and he must be prepared. No mercy, my friend!

I forgot to mention - in fact it sounded more like: squeak! Don't. Hahahaha, we scared him.

Hi folks,

spring is coming and since one week the weather is pretty fine. Last weekend we were swimming for the first time this year. That was great fun.
When mom were on vacation she cleaned up the garden and sweeped away all the leaves. Can you imagine, we sacked 20 plastic bags. The neighbour vis-a-vis asked dad if we'd hide acreage in our backyard - hahahaha, I barked.

But the funniest thing at gardening is to take a wheelbarrow ride - the faster the better ... look.

When it rains, it pours

or all bad things come in twos.

Hi readers, fans, admirers, lovers, adorers,

of me. Long time no see.
The last 4 weeks were very turbulent in one way and very uninspiring the other way.

Four weeks ago, Mom, Jette and me drove to the forest. It was one of the last sunny autumn days. The colored leaves of the trees flashes the light in yellow, red and orange. The air was fresh, and it wasn't cold. Jette and me sat on the front seat together ( for the first time, Jette let me ) and looked out of the windshield. It was late morning and we passed a lot of trippers, who wanted to enjoy one of the last warm days of the year and so do we.
As we arrived, Jette and me jumped off the car and immediately started to stroll around waiting for Mom to be ready.
Mom went to the back of the SUV and lift the bike out of it. Excitedly we barked:" Hurry up, Mom, Come on, let's go!" "Settle down, in a jiffy I am ready. I have to close the car. But before, I must park the bike, somewhere." Mom looked around searching for a place to park the bike. " Ah, the tree, there I lean it against." She turned, and suddenly she cried "ouch" and fell to the ground, to grimace with pain. "Oh, oh, ouch, ouch, ouch", Mom whined. She held her left ankle. I had heard it to, it was not very loud, but it was clearly a crack. "Shit, shit, shit, ouch ,ouch ouch", Mom still whined. "It is broken, for sure." "Jetti, Jetti." I shouted. "What? Is Mom ready, at last? Are we going?" she shouted back happily. "Come here, hurry. Something happened."
Jette and me looked helpless and caring. "That's the end of our walk?" I asked Jetti. "That's that! What a pity." she answered. "How can we help?" I looked at her. "Guess there is nothing to do right now." Jetti shrugged with her shoulders. "Alrighty, let's not waste time and spend energy. Catch me, catch me if you can." I ran away and asked Jette to follow me. Meanwhile, Mom had stood up and laid face down in the back of the SUV. She wasn't whining anymore, but I heard her groaning. "Alright, alright, the pain fades, pain go away, pain go away." She stood up, hopped to the bike, grabbed it, hopped back to the back of the SUV, smashed the bike into the back and ordered:" Jetti, Hoschi, come on, hop, we'll drive back home. Sorry, but that's it." The colored leaves of the trees flashes the light in yellow, red and orange. The air was fresh, and it wasn't cold. Jette and me sat on the front seat together again and looked out of the windshield. I was really sad.
Few days later, Mom packed her bag and kept away for seven days. When she came home, she hopped between two sticks. First I was afraid of them, but I learned they are walking sticks and called crutches. Dad is really busy. He works a lot, does the buying, helps Mom and walks Jette and me, but just two times a day, but we have a garden and Jette and me can play there, if we want to. But mostly we won't. Jette preferably likes to stay at Mom's side. But since last week we started to drive to the forest again, and Mom began to walk again, carefully.
What a blitheness!!

We'll back soon, we'll bounce back!

cu later, alligator,

What a horrible day

Hello ( snivelling),

this is one of my bad days ( sobbing ).
All started well this morning ( snivelling ). I was on patrol as every morning ( I told you before ). And as usual I trailed Dad along the way and met Manja, the black, beautiful poodle damsel and barked at her: Good morning, hottie! You look so sexy today, cara mia." She barked back:"Good morning, cutie. What does cara mia mean ?" - "My darling, sweetheart." - "Dream on, Gigolo."
UUh, that's huge progress. Slowly but surely she falls for me - hehehe ( grinning ). I went along, round the next corner into the street were I usually do my number two. Well, after that I always feel much better. I couldn't have stand it any longer.
Moving on, we halted at the next corner to cross the street when something caught my eye. There was a little movement on the ground. Mom and dad didn't notice me, they were talking about something. Curiously I approached to it - ouch - what was it, something pricked me. I hobbled - ouch-ouch: " Hey Dad, hey Mom, there is something in my paaaahw ( sobbing ). Pull it ooouuut! Buck uuuuuhhhhhh-uuuuuhhh up (spasmodic sobbing )!!!" Dad was first, he held my paw, mom kneeled down and searched for a sting - she couldn't find it - there was none. I sat down, held up high the paw and cried at the non visible moon:"UUUhhhh uuuuhh, woooooof wooooof uuuhhh ( weeeping, howling)."
Everyone should hear my pain!
Dad looked frightened:"Hurry up,take the car, we'll drive to the vet!" Mom looked at him:"Are you serious? Nothing to see. Hoschi overacts." - "No, no, I never heard him weeping this way before. Go, and take the car." Right, go, take the car, mom. As if I would ever oooouuuhhhhveraaaaaauuuuuhhh..ct ( sobbing and weeping). Dad hauled me up on his shoulder and mom ran off to take the car. In different directions and Jetti was confused.
Dad carried me home ( gasping )- I did not know why. Mom was already off to take the car. However, I appreciate his sympathy for my suffer. Really.

The vet said, I stepped on a bee and this bastard stabbed me, before it died. Fairly enough ( sobbing )! The vet then stabbed me with a cortison injection - not fair( weeping ).

Jette was happy that she wasn't stabbed this time.

At home again, I gladly sank in the cuddly pillows on the couch( snivelling ).

bye-bye, see you soon,
sincerly yours,

What a wonderful day

Hey folks,

long time no see. Sorry, but I was very, very busy lately.
The last weeks were extremly stressfull. We were planning mom's and dad's wedding. So they hadn't had the time to go out to the forest with us. We were allowed to pee in the garden and had to stay in the house, while Mom and Dad hectically ran from here to there and from there to here.
After all was done, a few days before the wedding, they couldn't fall asleep, so we had some looooooong nights again.
You may refuse to believe it, but I really need my beauty sleep - sure, I don't really need it, I'm already a beau. But I love sleeping. And I like it comfortable. I make myself comfortable on the couch, or in the bed of mom and dad, and I love my comfi dog basket full of cuddly pillows. I like to prevent any movements and try to make only the slightest movements. Believe me, I'm an expert in micromotions. The best place is sitting in the middle of the living room, so I can turn on my butt in any direction to notice everything that's going on.
And then it was the day of the wedding. We, Jette and me, weren't allowed to attend the wedding. We had to stay in the house of our dogsitter - that was a silly thing to do and irksome. So much for dressing me up in black and white to match dads best suit!
But the next day we joined the party and that was very exhausting, too, but fun. Jette even danced. Me not, expectedly.
And then the party was over, the guests departed and all went back to normal and I could lay down in my dog basket full of cuddly pillows, felt asleep and made only the slightest movements. What wonderful days !

The beauty and the beast

Today, I tell you a story about the beauty and the beast, and this story is true.
Guess who's the beauty - - - - - that was easy, wasn't it. I have to admit, it's me.
Here is the story:

Once upon a time there was a cute little dog. He was of good nature and gently and never would harm anyone.
Early one morning, he opened the gate and walked out down the street to the channel.
On a branch of a big tree sat a little bird, the cute little dog's friend. "All is quiet" chirped the bird happily.
Just then a duck came waddling round. She was glad that the cute little dog wouldn't harm her and decided to take a nice swim in the channel.
Seeing the duck, the little bird flew down upon on the grass, settled next to her and shrugged his shoulders. "What kind of bird are you if you can't fly?" said he. To this the duck replied "What kind of bird are you if you can't swim?" and dived into the channel.
They argued and argued, the duck swimming in the channel and the little bird hopping along the shore.
Suddenly, something caught the cute little dog's attention. He noticed a cat crawling through the grass.
The cat thought; "That little bird is busy arguing, I'll just grab him." Stealthily, the cat crept towards him on her paws as big as a plate extending five large knives reflecting the sunlight.
"Look out!" shouted the cute little dog and the bird immediately flew up into the tree, while the cute little dog barked angrily at the cat. The cat ran around the tree screaming, "Help! Help! It is worth climbing up so high. I need to get there else the cute little dog will catch me and eat me up."

"This is not your story", Jette, my sister, yawns. "This is the story of Peter and the wolf."
-"No, it is not, it just sounds similiar. Shut up and leave me alone" I answer back. Jette always thinks she is so smart - that sucks.
-"It is not !", Jette now stands up, and licks her hind leg wounds. "The truth is, you ran after the cat and yelled: Go! Attack! Gotcha, gotcha - when the cat stopped and turned around hissing. And you immediately took flight in panic and screamed: Not me, not me, please don't eat me! - your tail between your hind legs killing softly your belly."
Jette giggles.
"You think you are so smart, don't you."
"Well, obviously I am as smart as you are a coward. Didn't you abandoned me today when the beast bit me in the hind leg?!".
I must admit that I was really afraid today. That dog was really bitchy.
-"But I cheered for dad when he fought with the beast and I give you encouragement to keep up." I try to defend myself.
-"You did your best. Give me your tasty bone, I accept your excuse."

Now you know who is the beast.

The blog-dog

Hi folks,

they call me Hoschi and that's for a reason.
Day-to-day I am watching dad working at his "thingy", hitting the small pieces and staring on the screen all day long, while I sleep away the day on the couch with my sister.
But today I made up my mind. Now it is my turn: I become a blogdog.

Every morning I walk my dad. As soon as we left the door I usually turn right and start my early morning patrol.
First, I see Manja, the black poodle lady. I really like it to make a beeline for her every morning, and every morning she is really frightened. Satisfied I can proceed.
I am very snoopy and check out everything and everyone thoroughly.
So I realized this morning, too that last evening the neighbours cat crossed the street again at the same place and slipped through the same whole in the fence. I stuck my head through it, as yesterday morning, because, I told you before, I am very curious.
But again the cat wasn't there anymore, so I stepped backwards ... and my head got stuck. "Ho! Ho! Hoschi" - said dad. "stand still, I''ll help you out, big head", and he pulled my head out. Frankly, I felt a bit sheepish about it.
As we kept moving I heard dad mumbling:" Every morning the same procedure, sucks! You are not a big headed, you are pig-headed. Pig-headed Hoschi, pig-headed big headed Hoschi... I think I gonna call you piggy." Hahaha, how screamingly funny, okay- now stop it. No, do not come up with even more sophisticated names.
The rest of the patrol was quiet. We didn't met any other shabby dog today, unfortunately. So I could make my business.
Luckily, dad decided to go to the bakery and bought some biscuits. I always get one and take it home in my muzzle. I love it because the people walking by look at me smiling, and saying:" Oh look, the dog, isn't it cute." Oh yes, mam, I am.

so long,
