Two things have caught my eye this week. Well one my eye and one my ear. The first was a TV advert for PC World, “Where in the world, PC World”. Great deal, Microsoft office Student and Teacher 2003 edition for Just £84.99! Err 85 quid for an office suite, I don't think so.
The other was in the Torygraph, an AMD64 PC with 200Gb disk loads of memory for £499 from Tiny, which includes in the bundle Microsoft Office, but reading the small print it is a “60 day trial version”, then you get to pay an undisclosed sum to Microsoft. Nice way to suck you in to the file format.
