First Puncture of the year

As I left the office my rear tire was not quite flat but not going to get me home. No problem as I have spares and a tool kit. Not. I have spares but the tool kit is still attached to the bike I rode at the weekend. The special word I used when fixing the ergo levers came out. Fortunately it turns out you can remove a tire with a Yale key and a Chubb key and the still use them to get into the house.
While I'm changing the tube Stacey rides past, and being a cyclist, comes back to check all is well and stays with me just in case I can't get the tire back on. If it had been my summer bike I would have been in trouble but the Continental gatorskins go on easily. Now Stacey's bike is the real thing. Nice Peugeot with Campag Super Record, or more likely Nuovo Record gears and really nice chrome forks (I probably could have changed the tire quicker if I had not been distracted by a nice bike). We then cycled the mile and a half of the route we share.
Any way thanks Stacey, I made it home without incident and have now put the took kit in my pannier.
