News of Olympic Proportion

Vancouver Olympic organizers reveal that Sun Canada is signed on as the Games' official supplier of computer servers and data storage. According to the Games, we will provide over 500 server units for event results, records and athlete information in real time to visitors and audiences.

"(Sun Microsystems) knows what it is like inside a dynamic athletic environment," notes John Furlong, CEO of the 2010 Olympic Organizing Committee. "The company knows what the demands are for information, and "is able to live up to those expectations."

Very cool news. :-)
