week President Obama appointed Vivek Kundra as the federal government's
first CIO with a clear mandate for him: "As chief information officer,
[Kundra] will play a key role in making sure our government is running
in the most secure, open, and efficient way possible."
This morning I sat down with Bill Vaas, President of Sun Microsystems Federal, to discuss the significant of this announcement. He and Scott recently met with President Obama's technology team with more meetings in the offing.
