Pricing Update

Hi Everyone,

I've recently received
a number of questions or comments related to exam pricing and thought
that I should clarify here in the blog.

I'd like to
start out with a bit of a disclaimer: Oracle's certification program is a
global program -- however, what you ultimately pay for exams may be
influenced somewhat by currency conversions (due to currency exchange
rate fluctuation) and also by which currency is accepted for payment in
your country (either by Oracle or one of our test delivery vendors).

There are three places that you can go to review
certification exam prices for Oracle exams:

  1. Visit the exam page (for the exam that you wish to take)
on the Oracle certification website. For example visit this exam page to view the price,
objectives and other test info for the 1Z0-055 Oracle Database 11g:
    Performance Tuning exam.
  2. Visit our test delivery
vendor (Pearson or Prometric - depending upon the exam that you wish to
take). You will need to create an account and log-in order to see
    prices, schedules, etc.
  3. Visit the Oracle University website to find and
review certification exam voucher prices (may vary by exam and
country). Some candidates in some countries may not be eligible to
    purchase vouchers.

I hope that this helps you
find the information that you need related to certification exam
pricing. For the latest information related to Oracle certification,
visit the Oracle certification website often at certification.oracle.com.

I prefer to perform selfstudies before taking the certification exams. For example I just passed "Oracle 11g New Features" (1Z0-050) by studying the Oracle Press book on the subject.
My ambition is to pass "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning" and "Oracle Database 10g Real Applications Clusters Administrator Certified Expert" but there simply is no self study material to be found anywhere.
Why does Oracle Press not produce such self-studie materials for alle of the available certification exams, this would really help those that cannot attend very expencive Oracle training courses.
  • Paul Sorensen Monday, July 26, 2010
Hi Heini - Oracle Press is not owned by Oracle and hence your question might be best answered by an inquiry to them.

Exam code should be 1Z0-054 , not 1Z0-055
    Thanks

    Aitizaz,

I suggest you start with having a look at our website certification.oracle.com. In the Certification Finder at the bottom of the page, you can select Database in the 2nd field, Database in the 3rd field and Languages in the 4th field. This will give you a list of available certifications. From there, you can see the requirements for each certification. Good luck on your path.

    Hello,

I have completed "1Z0-007: Introduction to Oracle9i SQL" and "1Z0-052 Oracle Database 11g: Adminstration I" exams, now I'm preparing for "1Z0-053 Oracle Database 11g: Adminstration II". But I have attended only Oracle 9i instructor-led Courses. Can I submit this to attain OCP?

    Thanks

    Elias

  • Brandye Barrington Thursday, November 8, 2012

    Elias,

Unfortunately, the 9i course will not count toward the 11g certification. you have a couple of options - 1) you can take an 11g course or 2) you can go for the 9i certification and then upgrade to 11g OCP.

You have the 007 exam. You'll need to take 031, 032 and 033. Then you'd need to take 055 to upgrade.

My recommendation would be to take the 11g training rather than going backwards. The training can only help, even though it is expensive.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

I am planning to appear for ATG certification (1Z0-510). Could you please let me know it's price in India?

  • Brandye Barrington Friday, January 31, 2014

    Hi Unnat,

You can go to certification.oracle.com and find out the cost of the exam in your local currency. Alternatively you can go to pearsonvue.com/oracle and go through the registration process to see the cost of the exam in your local currency. You can cancel the Pearson VUE order before paying, after you have seen the price.
