Oracle Database 12c Master Exams Now Hosted on OU Cloud Servers - What This Means for You

Oracle University is pleased to announce a new environment for the Oracle Database 12c Certified Master exams. Previously, the exams were deployed on desktop hardware in Oracle University Test Centers that are used for OCM exams. The new environments are hosted on Oracle university Cloud servers and accessed remotely and securely from the Oracle University Test Centers.

This change applies to these exams:

This new environment provides more memory, CPU and Input Output bandwidth than was possible previously, given the constraints of the classroom hardware.

The effects of this change are:

  1. Some skillset times have been decreased due to changes in performance using the new environment. This time reduction has been made to correspond exactly to the time savings gained by having certain tasks execute much faster than before.
  2. The instructions provided by the proctor for accessing the environment have changed to inform candidates how to access the hosted exam environment using a secure tunnel from their classroom desktop.
  3. Some skillset task instructions have been reworded to clarify them.

Note: Only the environments have changed, not the exams. They continue as before.
