New Process For Receiving Oracle Certification Exam Results

Brandye Barrington
Sr. Program Manager

On November 15, 2012, Oracle Certification exam results will be available directly from Oracle's certification portal, CertView. After completing an exam at a testing center, you will login to CertView to access and print your exam scores by selecting the See My New Exam Results Now link or the Print My New Exam Results Now link from the homepage. This will provide access to all certification and exam history in one place through Oracle, providing tighter integration with other activities at Oracle. This change in policy will also increase security around data privacy.

One very important step you must take is to authenticate your CertView account BEFORE taking your exam. This way, if there are any issues with authorization, you have time to get these sorted out before testing. Keep in mind that it can take up to 3 business days for a CertView account to be manually authenticated, so completing this process before testing is key! You will need to create a web account at PearsonVUE prior to registering for your exam and you will need to create an Oracle Web Account prior to authenticating your CertView account. The CertView account will be available for authentication within 30 minutes of creating a Pearson VUE web account at certview.oracle.com.

  • Before taking the scheduled exam, you should authenticate your account at certview.oracle.com using the email address and Oracle Testing ID in your Pearson VUE profile. You will be required to have an Oracle Web Account to authenticate your CertView account.
  • After taking the exam, you will receive an email from Oracle indicating that your exam results are available at certview.oracle.com
    • If you have previously authenticated your CertView account, you will simply click on the link in the email, which will take you to CertView, login and select See My New Exam Results Now.
    • If you have not authenticated your CertView account before receiving this notification email, you will be required to authenticate your CertView account before accessing your exam results. Authentication requires an Oracle Web Account user name and password and the following information from your Pearson VUE profile: email address and Oracle Testing ID.
      • Click on the link in the email to authenticate your CertView account
      • You will be given the option to create an Oracle Web Account if you do no already have one.
After account authentication, you will be able to login to CertView and select See My New Exam Results Now to view your exam results or Print My New Exam Results Now to print your exam results.

I Passed Oracle financials (Receivables), in how many days I received Certificate from ORACLE at my address.

  • Brandye Barrington Wednesday, April 17, 2013

It depends on if you have completed your entire certification path. If you were following the specialist path and the exam is the only certification requirement, then your certification has likely been granted and your certificate queued up for sending.

If you were following the Expert path, and you only passed the one exam you have more requirements that you'll need to fulfill.

Go to certview.oracle.com and see if a certification has been granted. If it has, you will receive your certificate in the mail within 6-8 weeks. It will be sent to the address on file in your Pearson VUE profile at www.pearsonvue.com - UNLESS you live in India, Mexico, China or Bangladesh.

If you live on one of those 4 countries, you will receive a soft copy of your certificate via email within 3-4 days and you will be required to follow the instructions in the email to request a hard copy of of your certificate to be sent to you by mail.

Does Oracle receive (and email) international scores immediately? If not, how long does it take, on average?

    Many Thanks

  • Brandye Barrington Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Oracle receives scores and sends score availability notification within 30 minutes of exam completion. Candidates should receive an email (at the email address in their Pearson VUE profile at www.pearsonvue.com/oracle) that their exam results are available at certview.oracle.com, within 30 minutes of completing an exam.

Candidates should visit certview.oracle.com BEFORE taking their exam to authenticate their account in order to avoid delays in receiving the exam results after taking the exam.

    Hi ,

I am able to see my exam result on the "See My New Exam Results Now" but still waiting for the cert to be published by Oracle. As many people here , I also have plenty of people to inform about it.

May I ask , once the Oracle publish my cert , will I be informed by email , or do I have to press F5 every now and then?

PS : I did get the exam result within 15 min after the exam though. Well done!

  • Brandye Barrington Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Glad you got your exam results quickly. It will take up to 24 hours for your certification to show up. It should show up now. If not, please contact Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/KMsuH3 for assistance.

Sir I just wrote my OCA for java and I passed so I do get my ecertificate or hardxopy? I gathered that I must pass the OCP for java before I can get the the whole certificaye. Is it true? If no give a link on how to get my hardcopy certificate. Thanks.

  • Dipali Tuesday, February 17, 2015

I have given OCPJP6 Exam on 13th Feb, 2015 and passed it successfully with 96%.

I have received the Exam result mail as well but I am not able to download my e-Certificate in Cert-view. I also want to raise a request for Hard Copy of certificate. As I am having interview on 19th Feb., I need it as soon as possible.

Please guide me what may do or is it a internal problem?

  • Brandye Barrington Tuesday, February 17, 2015

    Hi Dipali,

Contact Oracle Certification Support immediately and let them know the urgency of this request. They wil be able to see what the problem is and help you get access to your eCertificate.

You will need to submit a request for the printed certificate. It will not arrive before your interview on the 19th, but you should be able to download and print your certificate from CertView and you can also verify your certification to a 3rd party through CertView.

I am getting ready to take the sql expert exam, i am living in USA but i will move to Africa very soon so will i only receive the soft copy of my certificate or also a hard copy? you i mention my new address to oracle in case i have to receive a hard copy?

  • guest Thursday, May 7, 2015

You will receive a soft copy of your certificate in certview.oracle.com. A hard copy will only be sent upon request. When you earn your certification, you will receive an email that gives you instructions for requesting a hard copy of your certificate. You can request for it to be sent to either address. If you need to have it sent to your address in Africa, you can update your address in your Pearson VUE profile after you've taken the exam and then request the hard copy.

  • guest Wednesday, May 20, 2015

You should have recieved an email notifying you that you'd earned the certification. There were instructions in that email to request a hard copy of the certificate.

You can download the logo in certview.oracle.com where you accessed the soft copy of your certificate.

    Congratulations on your certification.

I have cleared my exam 1Z0-053 on 24-APR-16 but i didnot get any certificate for this ...

    My testing ID:- OC1134955
  • Brandye Barrington Thursday, July 11, 2019
    Hi Vishal,
Are you an 11g DBA OCA, and did you complete training? This exam 053 is only one piece of the puzzle. You can see the full certification path on our website here - https://education.oracle.com/oracle-database-11g-administrator-certified-professional-retiring-on-31-dec-2019/trackp_51.

Alternatively, you may be aware that the Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional - https://education.oracle.com/oracle-database-administration-2019-certified-professional/trackp_DB19COCP - is now available. You may wish to follow that path rather than the 11g path, which is retiring the end of this year.
