Applications in the cloud change rapidly. You could get left behind in the blink of an eye if you don't continue to learn and grow your skills.
You may have noticed in September that a number of new Cloud Certification exams were released with the version 2019. If you recently earned the same certification versioned 2018, you may be wondering how these new releases affect you.
With the rapid pace of Cloud technologies, the skills and knowledge you need for your job may change quickly. In order to keep up with updated requirements, Cloud specialists need to commit to updating and renewing their skills regularly. Oracle's Cloud Recertification Policy and continually updated learning subscriptions help you keep your skills sharp and remain relevant in your field.
Oracle Cloud Certification credentials are valid for a period of 18 months from the date you earn the credential. The credential will become inactive at the end of 18 months. Oracle requires candidates to hold an active credential in order to access certain certification benefits including, without limitation, use of Oracle certification logos, eCertificates, score reports and certification verification. To stay current, candidates must re-certify themselves with the latest version of the exam. Oracle Cloud Certifications include Oracle Certified Associate, Specialist and Professional titles. Oracle Cloud Certifications are updated continuously throughout the year to keep current with major product and service releases, and re-released on an annual basis with a new title.

This policy took effect on 12-Sep-2019 with the new 2019 Cloud Certifications.
