Get Ready to Receive Your Digital Badge!

Brandye Barrington
Sr. Program Manager

In recent weeks you may have seen Oracle Certification credentials displayed as a digital badge that represents the qualifications earned. We issued these badges to a select group of Oracle Certified individuals for beta testing. Expect to receive your badges soon!

We have partnered with Acclaim to provide a new badging platform backed by Pearson VUE. An email will arrive from Oracle within approximately one week with more details. Expect an email from Acclaim in the following weeks. Follow the instructions, to claim your badge and begin displaying your verifiable credentials.

Digital badges communicate your certification achievements.

  • a web-enabled version of your credential
  • easy-to-use digital badge images for displaying your qualifications on social media sites, networking sites and in email
  • easy, valid verification of your credentials
  • a place to manage your badges
  • a secure means of storing and publishing your credential
  • the ability to combine your credentials to form a complete overview of your skills

Things to remember:

  • You will receive a badge only for current/non-retired OCA, OCP, OCE and OCM certifications (with the exception of 10g).
    • Candidates will receive digital badges for their 10g credentials and will be able to enjoy the benefits of digital badging until the recertification deadline for upgrading to 11g or 12c. Read more about the Recertification Requirement.
  • Badge notifications are being sent to the email address available in your Pearson VUE profile.
  • Due to the number of historical badges being issued, they will be issued over a 10-day period. It is possible that you will not receive all of your certification badges at once. Please allow 10 business days from reciept of your first badge to receive badges for remaining certifications.
  • You will be able to claim badges in CertView. If you have not received all badges within 10 business days of first receipt, visit the Certifiation Management page in CertView to access your badge from there. If you do not see a badge for a current OCA, OCP, OCE, or OCM certification, only then will you contact support.

Promote, verify, and communicate your credentials and achievements in an ever expanding digital marketplace.

We hope you enjoy the convenience and recognition this new offering brings.

    Bob and Aditya,

It will take approximately 2 weeks from October 7 to issue all badges. Please wait 2 weeks to receive all your badges emails from Accliam. If you have not recieved the email(s) from Accliam with links to claim your badges by the end of next week, then you can submit a request to Oracle Certification Support http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP.

Please do not submit a request now - badges are still being issued. There is a very very large number of badges to issue, so it will take a little time.

I haven't yet received any email from oracle to claim my badge. Can you please help me?

    Hello Brandye,

as you suggested to Prakhar, I tried to claim my badge in CertView. Unfortunately when I registered my oracle account, I used an email that now is deactivated (it was my previous company email). For the time being, the confirmation email sent by youracclaim was sent there. I sent an email to youracclaim in order to solve this issue hoping they can forward this email to my personal email.

    Thank you and kind regards,

    Marco Amato

You'll need to go to my.oracle.com and contact the Help Contact on that page. Acclaim is not able to update the info. It must be updated in your Oracle.com account as well as in your Pearson VUE account.

    1) Check http://pearsonvue.com/oracle and be sure your email address has been updated there.

    2) Get help to update your account at my.oracle.com.

    3) Contact Oracle Certification Support http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP and ask them to update CertView.

    4) You'll need to reauthenticate CertView next time you sign in.

I know it is a lot of steps, but there are a number of secure systems talking to each other!

I have a couple of certificates that I got from Prometric:

    1) Oracle E-business suite 11i Applications DBA CP

    2) Oracle Forms CP

I belive I got these from Prometric. I havent received any email from Acclaim for them. How do I claim these? Thanks.

  • guest Monday, November 9, 2015

    Hi Roy,

The 11i credential has retired, so you won't receive a badge for this certification. If you've not created a web account with Pearson VUE and authenticated your account with certview.oracle.com, it is likely that we have an old email address for you.

I recommend that you create a web account at http://pearsonvue.com/oracle using your Prometric ID. If Pearson VUE issues you a new ID, starting with 'OC', contact them and ask them to merge this new ID with your old ID.

Once you have created your Pearson VUE account, and you are sure you have only one ID, go to certview.oracle.com and authenticate your account using the details from your Pearson VUE profile.

Once you have authenticated your CertView account, you should be able to view the badge for your Forms Developer credential in CertView. You can claim it from there.

I have already been certified as an Associate for DBA 11g. Will I be able to receive a digital badge? If so, then how should I proceed?

  • Manoj Thursday, November 19, 2015

I am Fusion HCM and Taleo certified. Till date I have not received any mail. Also reached out to customer support but I did not hear anything from them.

  • guest Thursday, November 19, 2015

Sherrick, check your account at certview.oracle.com. You should see the option to claim your badge in CertView.

Manoj, Those certifications are Oracle Certified Specialist certifications. We have not yet released badges for those credentials.

I just earned a certificate. How many days should pass before I can claim or share the related badge?

  • guest Tuesday, December 8, 2015

    Hi Denis,

There has been a slight delay in the issuance off certifications and badges due to technical issues. I believe that the issue has been fixed and now the backlog is being dealt with. I would say that you should be able to access your certificate and badge in CertView.oracle.com by the end of this week.

I have just passed my oracle admin II exam. I am not sure about the procedures of claiming my badges of OCP as well as my OCA. Also what is the procedure for getting original oracle certificates through currier???

    With regards...

  • guest Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Have you completed all the requirements for OCP certification - OCA prerequisite, training, course form submission? If you've completed all the requirements your credential will be granted. You can view your certification and access your eCertificate, logo and badge in your account at certview.oracle.com.

When you receive the certification welcome email, it contains instructions for requesting a printed copy of the certificate.

Hi there, I passed my Oracle Java OCP yesterday, I have received notification that my eCertificate is available. However, when I access the site there is no option to claim my digital badge. Could you please tell me what I can do to claim my badge? I have for other exams.

In certview you have the following message:

"Why does my certification not show up here?

Response: You have not allowed 48 hours for your certification to be processed"

Las February 11 I took 1z0-896 exam (JSF) and my certification not appears. I submitted a issue and technical support team anwered to me that i had to wait 10-15 businnes days, today is March 12 and I can not see my certification yet.

    What I can do?

  • Brandye Barrington Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Hi Dan, please contact Oracle Certification Support http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP. They will be able to assist.

Guest, Have you completed all your requirements for this certification? There is a Java Programmer prerequisite. This could be the issue.
