Oracle Certification's LinkedIn Membership Continues to Grow

Beta Testing ContinuesThanks to all of you who have embraced Oracle Certification’s efforts to get the message out. We’re reaching the broadest audience ever and doing it more efficiently.

One thing that I wanted to point out specifically is that the membership on our LinkedIn certification area now has over 4,000 people connected to it, and that has occurred in a very short time frame. That’s amazing to me! It’s great to be able to get your feedback and pass on certification-related information to people who need it.

In addition to our LinkedIn page, we have many avenues that we are using to get the word out, including Twitter, Oracle Mix, the Oracle Certification Blog, our website, and our monthly Certification E-Magazine (remember to opt-in).

Thanks again for your support!

Hi Divya,
Global surveys continue to show compelling evidence that certification can help you career through improved personal performance, increased credibility and increased salary as well as more job opportunities, among other benefits. All certified candidates do not see these direct benefits, but most do. I believe that the biggest variable is the actual certification holder.

The opportunities available depend largely on where you live and the demand in that area and the certification path that you choose. You can read some of the comments on our Certification Forum http://bit.ly/Lt5vhm regarding this question, to get a better feel for the answer.

One thing to note: If you are thinking of pursuing the DBA OCA certification, you may not see immediate job opportunity benefits with the OCA level certification. But OCA is a stepping stone to OCP, will likely give you better options than OCA.

Regards,
Brandye Barrington
