New Prometric Testing IDs

New Prometric Testing IDsSome Prometric IDs (which is your unique identifier for all Oracle exams and certifications) were recently changed by Prometric at Oracle’s request. When some candidates originally created their profiles with Prometric, they used social security numbers as IDs. Due to security concerns, all Prometric IDs that were social security numbers have been replaced with new system generated Prometric Testing IDs.

Oracle sent an email to all affected candidates. However, due to incomplete or out-dated information, we may not have reached all parties. If you currently use your social security number as your Prometric ID, please visit Prometric's website to access your new Prometric ID. To view the new Prometric ID, login to prometric.com/oracle with your original username and password. Once you have accessed your Prometric account, select the "Update Personal Information" link to view your new Prometric ID. If you have any issues logging into your Prometric account, contact your local Prometric representative by selecting your Region under the "Questions? Call Us" box in the left navigation menu.

For all future Oracle Certification exam appointments, it is crucial that you use your new Prometric ID so that your Oracle Certification records are under one profile. You will no longer be able to use your social security number for any Oracle Certification purposes

Please contact ocpexam_ww@oracle.com if you have any questions.

Hi, This is Dhanabal.K. I already done oracle 9i DBA OCP Certification with thomson Prometric. My Thomson prometric ID is SR2264566 and i have completed 1Z0-040(Oracle Database 10g: New Features for Administrators) exam in Pearson vue on 26 Feb 2010. By mistake, i used the new email ID when i was registering with pearson vue. So I got the new testing ID (OC0847061) with pearson vue. Is it possible to metge with both testing IDs? and do i have any problem to get the 1Z0-040(Oracle Database 10g: New Features for Administrators) certification for this issue?.

Anthony,
I see in your account that your kit has been shipped 3 times. Unfortunately, there are some regions in which we have much difficulty with mail systems. Please go to your account in CertView at certview.oracle.com and you will find instructions on how to request a reship of your certificate. When you make the request, please note that this is the 4th ship and ask them to send it via courier so that it is trackable.

We apologize that you have not yet been able to receive your success kit.

Hi,
I did my last exam with Prometric in 2008 (OCP DBA 10g) but I don't remember my "Testing Id". I would like to know how can I get my "Testing ID"? Where can I see the results of all my exams? Do I have to connect to Pearson VUE? Thank you. Mirjana Rakuljic

Mirjana,
You should first contact Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/f39Dny to see if they can assist with your Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID). You will need to provide as much info as possible, indcluding the name you used to register for your exam at Prometric, and your email address and physical address at the time. You should also include the exam(s) you took and the rough dates. Once you have received your ID, you can authorize your account on certview.oracle.com. This is where you will be able to view your exam and certification history.

Dear Sir/Madam I have completed my MCM from Pune University then after i have completed DST i.e Diploma in Software Testing. Now i want to do Oracle Certification so which Certification should i do?

Posted by Sagar Mohan Kandhare on February 04, 2012 at 11:32 AM PST #

Hi Sagar,
Choosing a certification path to follow is largely a personal decision, as your certification path can begin to form your career path. You should determine where your interests lie first, then have a look at all of the certifications that my be relevant to your interests. The next step would be to have a look at some career websites and see what types of jobs are available. You can have a look at our website at certification.oracle.com to see what certifications we have available and determine what the requirements and costs would be for each. Good luck!

Hello ,

I am looking prometric center for OCAJP certification in Bangalore.
Since this a a new course added I am not able to find the centres ,Also can you please tell me what is the advantage of this certification when compared to taking SCJP and OCA certifications seperately.

Thanks & Regards,
Divya

Posted by Divya on March 09, 2012 at 02:19 AM PST #

Hi Divya,
All Oracle Certification exams are now offered through Pearson VUE, rather than Prometric. You can find testing centers at pearsonvue.com/oracle. For the SE 7 version of Java Programmer certification, the OCA certification is required prior to OCP. You can find more information on our website here http://bit.ly/z3tuxw.

Hi Sir,

Today I have taken exam certification of Oracle 1Z0-520-Oracle EBS R12.1 Purchasing Essentials. But I am unable to view my certificate and unable to download logo.

Thanks & Regards,
Pratyush

Posted by guest on March 15, 2013 at 08:52 AM PDT #

Hi Pratyush,
Did you go to certview.oracle.com? Are you sure that you only have one Oracle Testing ID? This is the most common issue with CertView access - multiple IDs. If you are having trouble authenticating your CertView account, I suggest that you complete your 3 attempts to authenticate. Once you have failed 3 times, your account is referred for manual processing. You should hear back from the support team within about 24 hours after your final failed attempt. They will be able to assess the problem and get you authenticated.

Hi Ganesh,
You can access your score report for this exam, but there is no certification granted for only passing this exam. You will need to pass another exam in order to earn a certification and receive a certificate.

If you have not done so already, you'll need to create an account at pearsonvue.com/oracle. You will enter your Prometric ID. If Pearson VUE assigns you a new ID, you'll need to contact them to request to have the IDs merged - pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge. It will take a couple of days to get the IDs merged.

Once you have your Pearson VUE account sorted out, you can go to certview.oracle.com, where you will need to first authenticate your account using information from your Pearson VUE account. After your account is authenticated, you will be able to access your exam history in CertView.

Brandye Barrington
