Are You Getting Your Training From an Authorized Provider?

Are You Getting Your Training From an Authorized Provider? We’ve had some recent issues with non-partners falsely claiming to be Oracle partners. So please remember that if you are not taking your class directly from Oracle University while trying to meet your hands-on course requirement, make absolutely sure that your training facility is authorized to provide Oracle training.

There are several types of centers through which you can complete required certification training – Oracle University, Oracle Authorized Education Partners (OAEP), Oracle Authorized Education Centers (OAEC), Oracle Academy (OA) or Oracle Workforce Development Program (WDP). Only training from Oracle or its authorized partners may count towards certification.

Unfortunately, we have recently had some issues with a non-partner facility in Southern California claiming that their training is accepted toward Oracle Certification (when it is not) and some candidates have been misled.

What can you do to protect yourself? Don’t take their word for it.

If the center you plan to attend allows you to schedule on the Oracle website then it is a partner. If not, then it still may be a partner. To find out, you can verify partner status of training centers through the websites below.

For further assistance, please contact Oracle University.

I want to know the oracle authorized training/education centers in Jaipur and New Delhi(India)...which can offer DBA (i.e. OCA & OCP both) course on the oracle version 11g R2.Many Institutes(like New Horizon,CMC) claim to be the oracle authorized. But when I enquired about the one institute CMC, Jaipur, I got to know that the tie-up between Oracle and CMC has been ended. Please let me know about it as soon as possible.

It is my understanding that you first must become an Oracle Partner and then you become OAEC or OAEP. You can find more information on the OPN website http://www.oracle.com/partners/en/join-now/index.html.

Dear sir,

I was googling around when I got this link. Its true that lot many companies are making big claims of being authorised partner like CMC, IIHT, Ducat, karrox in jaipur but not even a single of them is an authorised partner of Oracle atleast in jaipur.Few of them are also claming for 11g authorised center too.

Even writing down a lots of email to oracle doesn't make any difference.
Can you please let us know what oracle is doing to safgaurd the intrest of their authorised partners and how long the clients of oracle(students) will be getting befooled.

Posted by priyankya on October 15, 2011 at 09:22 AM PDT #

Priyankya,
I'm not sure that there is anything that Oracle can do legally to make these companies stop making these claims. This is why we try to educate candidates to ensure that they are getting their training from reputable companies who are approved Oracle training partners.

We always urge candidates to take the responsibility for their education by providing information such as this.

Can these company train students using oracle software & reproduced oracle ebooks.

Doesn't it comes under piracy.

Posted by priyankya on October 18, 2011 at 06:30 AM PDT #

Priyankya,
Many times they are not using pirated materials. Many of these companies develop their own training materials. If you have information that a company is using pritated software, you can contact Oracle University http://bit.ly/14ivVR in your region and they will be able to pursue this.

Hi All,

My cousin completed her training in one of authorized center (Accel IT academy) in Chennai. She completed her course on August 2011. But till date they did not provide the course complete certification. She completed all 3 exams and received the certificates. In order to get the OCP certificate the authorized center should send the attendance and other information to the Oracle. But till date they are blaming Oracle for not providing the course complete certificate that is delaying to get OCP certificate from Oracle. Please let me know whom to contact to escalate this issue. The center manager is not giving any proper response.

Posted by guest on January 10, 2012 at 10:27 AM PST #

I'm not sure how much Oracle University can assist with this since the training was delivered through an Oracle Partner rather than an Oracle University center. However, you can check with Oracle University. You can find the appropriate contact number for your region on the OU website at http://bit.ly/14ivVR.

what is the advantage of taking up oracle training from an authorized trainer??

Posted by guest on February 29, 2012 at 05:56 AM PST #

From a training perspective, the benefit is that you know you are receiving quality Oracle training from experienced Oracle professionals, delivered the way that the training was designed to be delivered.

From a certification perspective, only training delivered by an authorized training provide will be accepted to fulfill training requirements for certification.

is there a certification like Oracle Certified Trainer, is it available in india?

Posted by guest on May 25, 2012 at 02:39 AM PDT #

I would like you to give an advice certification Team, I recently submitted the course form to obtain my OCP certification. I took a course in Bolivia in a WDP partner called "NUR La Paz", however I checked the WDP website and I didn't find this academy in the Bolivia Category but I found it in the argentina category. I asked them and they told me that it is correct because they are part of "fundacion proydesa" resgistered in Argentina
I am afraid that this form is not going to be accepted, what's the correct way to submit the form in my case? I asked oracle argentina but they didn't anwer my question. I think that anybody has done the course submission before here in Bolivia

If your company wants to become an Oracle Approved Education Provider or an Oracle Approved Education Center, they will need to join the Oracle PartnerNetwork first and then become authorized as an education delivery partner.

You can find more information on our Oracle Partner Network website http://bit.ly/T0bkeP. You will need an Oracle Web account to access this page. When you click the link above, you will be brought to the sign-in page where you will be offered the option to create your web account.

Hi - I'm an Oracle professional who would like to start recording training about different Oracle Applications modules to distribute to my clients, lynda.com style. Do I need to be an Oracle Partner to do this? I would be using the Adobe eLearning Suite to record them (not UPK) and, needless to say, I do not plan to claim to be an Oracle Partner when I'm really not. Is this something I could do?

Posted by guest on November 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM PST #

You should really check with Oracle University on this http://bit.ly/KnNNke. I think that as long as you are not mis-representing yourself and you are not using any of Oracle's copyrighted materials, you should be fine, but I'd suggest connecting with Oracle University.

Could you please tell me the difference between Oracle Approved Education Centers (For Working Professionals) and Workforce Development Program (For Students). I understand that one is for Professionals and other is for Students.
But can I, as a working professional get training from WDP and have same eligibility as OAEC(WP) ?
I basically need to know what is the training difference between the two.

Thanks

Posted by guest on July 03, 2013 at 10:17 PM PDT #

Yes, you can get training through WDP as a working professional. The biggest difference (apart from price - WDP will probably be less expensive) is that you would likely have more training options going through an OAEC than through the WDP.

Is it possible to conduct Oracle Database related training programs by any unauthorized training centers?

I was in an impression that only Oracle DBA trainings are done by Oracle authorized training centers.

Kumar

Posted by guest on August 08, 2013 at 04:15 AM PDT #

Any centers can offer Oracle Database training. However, training delivered by Oracle Authorized training centers is the only training that is accepted to fulfill a certification requirement. Also, unauthorized centers cannot use Oracle copy righted training materials. Quality may be an issue with unauthorized training centers.

You can take the course in any training center in which you find it available. I believe that if you take it in Bangkok, you will pay the local price (currency). This is actually a better question for Oracle University http://bit.ly/KnNNke.
