You can find details on the 047 exam on our website http://bit.ly/LfQFfl. If you pass this exam, you will obtain the SQL Expert Certification and logo. I cannot provide the logo image. You will receive access to the logo once you have passed the exam.

Mohammed,
You can view our available certifications on our website at certification.oracle.com.

What is the price for oca

Posted by guest on September 04, 2012 at 08:00 AM PDT #

There are numerous OCA certifications available. Some require a single exam some require more than one exam. The cost for OCA depends on the path. You can get more information on our website at certification.oracle.com.

I am a Software Tester (automation) and I want to develop strong skills in database. So that's the reason I want to get an Oracle certification but not sure which will be best for my level, I have quite a good experience with SQL queries
Please suggest me certification which will be good for me and also books I should refer.

If you want to pursue an Oracle Database Certification, you would need to start with the Oracle Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Associate. You should consider whether you wish to go with the 11g or 12c version. This depends on your current skill and knowledge level - do you have experience with either version already? You should also consider what versions are currently in demand in the job market. There are fewer 12c certified DBAs currently in the job market, but fewer companies have upgraded to 12c also. So, you should do a little research on where the job demand is.

Once you determine which certification you wish to pursue, you can go to our website at certification.oracle.com and get all the certification requirements. You will be able to see the recommended training and exam topics. You can also get great book recommendations on our Oracle Certification Forum http://bit.ly/Lt5vhm.

For each Database Administrator OCA certification, candidates must pass a SQL exam requirement. One of the options for the SQL exam is the 1Z0-047 exam which will give you the SQL Expert certification. This is a consideration because you will then have 2 certifications once you complete your OCA path. This exam may be harder than the 051 or 061 exam, though. You can also find good comments on which exam to take on our Certification Forum

Good luck!

Hi Barrington,

I completed 10g OCP exams(O42 & 043) when Oracle had tie up with Prometric, my training is still pending to complete 10g OCP path. I can see my exam history in "CertView" of Oracle but can't see same history in "Pearson VUE".

<> I'm planning to complete 10g training to full fill 10g OCP path.
Is it ok if i take training and submit Course Submission form through Pearson VUE?

<>I've been writing for same queries to "ocpexam_ww@oracle.com" but not getting any response.

Thanks,
Mujeeb
