FAQ: Did I Meet The Deadline?

FAQ

UPDATE (November 9, 2011): Thank you for your continued patience as Oracle continues to clear the backlog of assignments that need grading. Over the coming weeks, results will continue to be provided for the Java Master Assignments.

Q: I have not yet received a grade on my assignment that I submitted before the deadline. Will I be required to complete the training requirement?

Due to high volumes and technical resource constraints, there has been an extended delay in getting assignments graded. We sincerely apologize for this delay. We are working diligently to get these assignments graded and get your results back to you as quickly as possible. Understandably, there is concern about how this delay will affect OCM, Java Developer and OCM, Java Enterprise Architect candidates who have already submitted assignments but have not yet received their scores. Will these candidates be required to complete training? The answer is no in most cases. Please review the scenarios below to find out if you will be required to complete training. If you have any additional questions, please contact suncert_ww@oracle.com.

If you are notified of a passing score on your assignment and essay after September 30, 2011, you will receive your certification without being required to complete training if the conditions below have been met:
  • You submitted your assignment and completed your essay by September 30, 2011.
  • You passed the Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect Certified Master Exam by September 30, 2011 (for OCMJEA candidates only).
**Candidates who did not submit all requirements on or before September 30, 2011 will be required to complete training in order to become certified.
If you are notified of a failing score on your assignment and essay after September 30, 2011, you will have the opportunity to receive your certification without being required to complete training if the conditions below have been met:
  • You submitted your assignment and completed your essay by August 27, 201.
  • You passed the Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect Certified Master Exam by September 30, 2011 (for OCMJEA candidates only).
  • You resubmitted the assignment within 30 days of receiving your failing score.
  • You pass the second attempt.
**Candidates who did not submit both their assignment and essay by August 27, 2011 will not be considered for this exception. This policy was outlined in the announcement posted on the Oracle Certification website.

Hello,

I got 71% in OCPJWCD ( 1Z0-858 ) exam ( that is below 72% a pass score).

Is there any review policy to get on to this scenario. ?

Hi OCP Team,

Is there any "Premium Certificate" from Oracle for OCM candidate both Database and Java Enterprise Architect. It is the same way if we get the IBM Professional Certification. Please refer to: https://www.ibm.com/certify/news/ibmpcp_premium_certs.shtml

Posted by guest on January 22, 2012 at 12:40 AM PST #

I passed 1Z0-851 program on 17 December,2011.I haven't received my certificate.Why?

Posted by guest on February 08, 2012 at 08:07 PM PST #

Hi Guest (from Jan 22) - I thought I'd answered this question before, but it looks like I didn't post my own comment. We do not have a similar program to the one at IBM.

@Guest (from Feb 8) - First step is that you should go to your account at certview.oracle.com (you will need to authorize your account with info from your Pearson VUE profile if you have not visited this site before) and confirm that the certification has been granted and shipped. You will find instructions on next steps to receive your success kit on the Certification Status>Certification History tab.

I passed the ocjp certification on the 1st Jully 2011 and i have not received my certification success kit. What do I do?

my oracle testting id is OC0968192

Posted by moulou on February 21, 2012 at 07:12 AM PST #

Hi Moulou,
Go to certview.oracle.com and check your certification status under Certification Status>Certification History. If your certification shows up and it shows in the Fulfillment tab that the kit was sent, then you should follow the steps on the bottom of that page to request a reship of your kit.

Posted by Priyanka on March 19, 2012 at 01:01 AM PDT #

Hi Priyanka,
We typically only send an e-certificate for certificates that were not received originally as a hard-copy. Please contact Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/f39Dny for assistance with this request. They will help you get an e-certificate.

Hi all,
Recently i took 1zo-144 exam and failed,I m planning to retake it,May i know whether similar pattern of questions would be asked or tougher than that? Kindly help.

Posted by guest on June 08, 2012 at 04:28 AM PDT #

The types of questions will be the same. You will not likely get the same questions, but they should be the same level of difficulty and they will all be multiple choice.

i have given my certification exam orcale 9i sql iz0-007.
when i would get it. exam date was 04/26/2012.

Posted by guest on August 03, 2012 at 01:33 AM PDT #

You will not receive a certificate for passing only exam 007. This is the first exam you would take in several different certification paths. This exam must be paired with another exam in order to obtain a certification.
