FAQ: Why Aren't My CertView Login Details Working?

0399C1.jpg
Oracle Certification candidates login to CertView using their Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO). Your SSO is typically created by using your email address and a password of your choosing. Your login details may not be working for a variety of reasons. You may have forgotten your password, you may have created a new SSO using a new username, or there may be another reason your details are not working. If you are having difficulty with logging in to CertView:
  • First try the password recovery option.
    • On the CertView login page, you will select the link under 'Forgot Password' and your password will be emailed to you
    • If you have changed email addresses since you created your account, please contact the Profile Support Team for assistance.
  • If your username (email address) has changed, and you have created a new profile under your new email address, you likely have two SSOs which will need to be manually merged.
  • If you have updated your username (email address), the first time you login to CertView after updating, you will need to authorize your account again with your new details.
  • If you need further support with your SSO, you can find more information on the Oracle.com Account Help Page.

If you leave your current company of employment and your email address (which is typically the username of your SSO login) changes, you can update your username in your Oracle profile. The first time you login to CertView after making this updte, you will need to authorize your account again with your new details. It is best to never create a new SSO. You should always update your existing SSO. If you have any questions, you can contact Oracle Certification Support.

Comments:

Hi I went through the account help process yesterday as it happened. I blogged about the experience yesterday. http://orawin.info/blog/2011/03/21/oracle-com-inaccessible/ short takeaway - at least if you choose the username/password issues link - then the result is a 404 when you submit the form. I did however resolve my issues using the apex password reset form (available at https://myprofile.oracle.com/EndUser/faces/profile/resetPassword.jspx ) which works when popups are enabled (i.e not in modern browsers by default).

I am Alok Adhao, I was having my account on certmanager.net/sun and from 31 may it is blocked , i know that database is deleted and Oracle is forming a new Website called certview but how can i access my same account with this new site .Please help me ..

Posted by guest on June 16, 2011 at 03:24 PM PDT #

Hello Alok, we apologize for the inconvenience, but at this time, legacy Sun certification records are not yet available at CertView. When the records are avialable, you will login at certview.oracle.com. HOWEVER, please do not try to access this site yet, because you will not be able to authorize your account and access the information. We will make the announcement here on this blog when the historical certification data is available. Please subscribe to this blog to stay informed! Regards, Brandye Barrington

my certview account does not open

Posted by Muhammad Fahim on July 08, 2011 at 03:49 PM PDT #

Muhammad,
You have 3 attempts to authorize your CertView account. If you are unable to authorize in 3 attempts, your account will be sent to the authorization team for manual authorization. Please allow 5 business days to receive confirmation from them. They typically are able to turn the issue around much quicker, but they are currently experiencing a high volume, so it may take a little longer. If your issue is not that you were unable to authorize your account, you should contact suncert_ww@oracle.com and detail your issue and they will be able to assist.

Hi, i tried to recover my password, but received no mail yet. Meanwhile my account is locked anf my support question is left unanswered. I got my results for SCJP test, but i can't watch them. This really frustrates me. Please help me and send me a reset password!

Posted by gn0tto on May 31, 2013 at 07:43 AM PDT #

Gn0tto,
I'm not sure when you submitted your SR, but it could take up to 3 days for your account to be manually authenticated. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. This is why we strongly encourage candidates to authenticate the CertView account before taking the exam - to avoid delays in receiving exam scores.

The support team should reply shortly. If it's been more than 3 business days since you submitted your SR, please provide the SR# and I can check on it.

Hi, This is Raman Kumar.I have completed OCP for java on 15th June 2013.But hava not received any mail from oracle. When I tried to see the result on cerview.oracle site it was showing invalid uname or pwd. And finally blocked my account. Somewhere I read that we should not have to use existing email Id in oracle for this OCP purpose, but I used the same.I dont know the reason but what to . Plaese help me. Following are the message I am getting when I tried to login in certView .........

Oracle University CertView Authentication
Third invalid attempt

We are sorry, but we are still unable to verify your information. Your account has been referred to Oracle Certification Support for manual processing. You should expect to be contacted within three (3) business days.

Thank you for participating in the Oracle Certification Program. Please access our Help Center for additional information and assistance.

Hi Raman,
I am sorry that you are having trouble accessing your exam results. This is why it is very important to authenticate your CertView account before taking your exam. However at this point, you should wait to hear back from the support team. Your account has been referred to our support team for manual processing. You have probably already heard back from them and have your exam results. I hope you passed!

Hi Brandye,

1. First-time Created PearsonVue and Oracle Certview Accounts (prior to scheduling exams)

2. Then scheduled the OCJP exam via test center, the guy at test center created and allotted a new Oracle Testing ID for my exam (here's where being first-time test taker scenario didn't help :P).

3. Gave the exam and NOW I'm STUCK WITH "Third Invalid Attempt" for First-time CertView Authentication Error (Now, this one seems more ghastly than a deadly Thread Deadlock or a fatal System.exit :P)

4. I guess the problem should be solved by merging IDs (manual verification), for which I have already sent a request, but haven't received any reply yet.

5. Can you help me with this? Any advice (other than patience ;)?

Posted by V on July 27, 2013 at 07:32 AM PDT #

same problem here, not able to authenticate the CertView account for the 3 consecutive times, account locked. I jus want to hear from oracle representatives why you are making process this much critical? we are taking exam in a oracle authorized pearson/prometric centers only, then what is the point of creating account in oracle website to view exam results, you are forcebily making us to create account in oracle web in turn you are increasing your count wrt to number of registered users in oracle web portal...

Posted by siva on July 28, 2013 at 02:02 AM PDT #

Dear 'V', I hope that your issue has been sorted by now. The person at the test center should not have created a new account for you. He should have asked you for your username and password. Yes, a merge has to be completed. Please let me know if you are still encountering issues - sorry for this mix-up. I'm sure it is even more frustrating because you did everything right!

Dear Siva, I am hoping that you have also received assistance by now. The support team usually handles issues with CertView authentication within 24 hours because the understand the importance of accessing exam results. This business decision, to keep all records relating to your Oracle Certification in CertView was to make CertView (and thereby Oracle) the single source for all certification information.

Hi Saikiran,
You should check in certview.oracle.com to ensure that your certification has been granted. In CertView, you will also see instructions on what to do if you have not received your certificate.

Hi
I had booked a slot for Oracle Certified JAVA programming exam on this Friday in Pearson Vue and i got a mail from Oracle stating that the order details had been confirmed and thereby authenticate myself in the Oracle certivew before itself.

I had tried to authenticate with my Oracle testing ID and as well as the email id with which i registered with oracle and pearson for 3 consecutive times and i really don't know why it did not get authenticated and after 3rd time it says invalid attempt and it just needs to be manually verified by the oracle support team.

I just dont know why it really happened.

Can anyone really help me out in this issue ?

Posted by Aditya Achanta on October 13, 2013 at 11:46 PM PDT #

Hi Aditya,
Actually, you should receive a response from the support team early this week. There are some typical issues that candidates face when trying to authenticate - adding a space to the Oracle Testing ID, entering the exam number into the Oracle Testing ID space. If your exam is scheduled for Friday, you'll have this issue sorted by the support team and have access to CertView before then.

Hi,

I had created a Pearson VUE web account last week and tried to authenticate on Oracle CertView but was refused. Today, I booked an exam and again tried to authenticate(twice) but couldn't get through.

Could you please let me know about the 'manual processing support'. Any email address to which I could send an email regarding this issue.

Thanks
Saurabh

The Oracle Certification Support team will manually process the authentication and should reply to you to confirm authentication.

Hi Team,

I am not able to access my CertView. I need to access results of a certification exam that I had taken in 2006. However, I currently do not have access to the e-mail address provided at that time (so I cannot reset the password which seems to have changed with the system migration).

Would you please be able to look me up by name and advise on the best course of action and whether or not my certification details can be accessed at the earliest please? Thank you.

Posted by Vivek Kadiyala on June 12, 2014 at 05:49 AM PDT #

Vivek,
I would suggest that you go ahead and create a new Pearson VUE web account at pearsonvue.com/oracle. Then you can contact Pearson VUE and ask them to merge your old Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID) into your new Oracle Testing ID. You'll need to wait about an hour after creating your Pearson VUE web account and then you should be able to authenticate your CertView account using your new Oracle Testing ID.

Hello,
i had cleared ocjp exam in 2011...
and now i have given Oracle 1Z0-051 SQL on 5th july 2014 with a different testing id.
i was not aware that the testing id should be same.

but now i cant even access my certview account.
it shows an alert :-

There was an error processing your request
Invalid data, program terminated.
Thank you.

but,
i urgently need to see my results.

When am doing Oracle University CertView Authentication...getting the below error.Requesting you to please help me on this.

I have raised the Service Request Number: 497386-725621472

Dear Candidate

We are unable to Authenticate your CertView account as a First Time User. Our system shows that you have already authenticated your CertView account with the following
Oracle Web Account Username: gxxxxxxxxxt@txx.com (this user name has been abbreviated for security purposes).
You are now attempting to authenticate your CertView account with a different Oracle Web Account username/password. CertView can only be linked to one Oracle Web Account username/password..

If you remember the Oracle Web Account that you originally authenticated your CertView account with, log in as a Returning User. If you do not remember your Oracle Web Account username, you can retrieve this information from the Oracle Account Log-in page to retrieve your Lost Username. In addition, you may retrieve your Password if you do not recall this information.

Thanks

Hello. I took today the 1z0-043. I can't see the result. I got this

Third invalid attempt

We are sorry, but we are still unable to verify your information. Your account has been referred to Oracle Certification Support for manual processing. You should expect to be contacted within three (3) business days

Where can I send an email to solve my problem? and why did I get this problem? it's not my first certificate, Oracle should know my OracleID and my email.

Thank you in advanced

Posted by guest on February 20, 2015 at 03:28 AM PST #

You mention that you've taken exams before, but that you were authenticating your CertView account. Do you have more than one Oracle Testing ID? If so, you should contact Pearson VUE (pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge) right away and get the two IDs merged. Otherwise, the database will not recognize you as the same person whose taken the previous exams and your CertView record will only show one exam.

If you've experienced 3 invalid attempts at authenticating your CertView account, your account has been referred to the support team. They will manually authenticate your account and you should have heard from them today (Monday) or tomorrow (Tuesday).
