FAQ: When Can I Expect My Beta Results?

Hi Everyone,

I really appreciate those who are willing to help contribute to our development process by participating in our beta exams. Although the betas are relatively inexpensive, they tend to be lengthy (many questions) and candidates do not receive their scores until after production.

I want to clarify a few things about the betas so that participants have a better understanding of the process.

First, our post-beta analysis of the exam questions requires detailed statistical reports, reviews, and analysis of the questions. Additionally - there are multiple reviews that require a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to be present. As a result, we plan approximately 11 weeks for the post-beta process - during which time the exam is not available for scheduling. Most of the time things run 'as-planned', and we finalize the exam and beta results/scores are sent to candidates. At this point the exam also goes "live" into production and becomes available for testing.

Unfortunately there are some instances where we are unable to complete this work in the 11 week time-frame and things can get delayed. For example, we currently have an exam where an important review has been rescheduled several times due to the changing availability of SMEs. We do communicate delays on our website, however sometimes (as in this case) it can be a challenge to ascertain an exact release date.

As difficult as it is, we strive to best communicate to you with information about these delays, beta status and expected release of beta exams. In the meantime - thank you again for participating in our betas. Your role is vital to the development of quality exams.

Hello! By saying that: "For example, we currently have an exam where an important review has been rescheduled several times due to the changing availability of SMEs. (...) it can be a challenge to ascertain an exact release date." are you referring to the OCE Jsp and Servlets exam? Regards, Pedro

Pedro, This does not refer to the JSP and Servlets exam. That exam should be available by April 18. Regards, Brandye Barrington

Pratik,
You should check your account at certview.oracle.com to see if your certification has been granted and the certificate has been shipped. There will be instructions in CertView for you to move forward with requesting your kit, depending on your specific situation.

Regards,
Brandye Barrington
