FAQ: Where Is My Success Kit?

0399C1.jpg
Hi Everyone,

A common question that we receive is: "I have not received my certification request kit, what should I do?" Here are a few tips:

  1. Consider the time frame - although it typically takes far less time, the kits can sometime take up to eight weeks to reach you. If it has not been 8 weeks then your kit may still be on its way.
  2. Make certain that you have met all of the requirements - find your certification through Oracle Certification Website (certification.oracle.com). Take a look at the path to make certain that you have met each and every requirement.
  3. Validate your mailing address - log in to the Pearson VUE website and make sure that your profile contains your correct mailing address.
  4. Be sure that all of your certification requirements are recorded under the same account
    • Log in to CertView to check your exam and certification history.
    • If all of your exams do not show up in your account, you may have taken exams under multiple Oracle Testing IDs. Contact Pearson VUE to have the IDs merged.
  5. If you have done everything above and your kit has not arrived after eight weeks, then submit a request to ocp-fulfillment_ww@oracle.com.
Best of luck in your efforts to become certified!

I have the worst experience with my OCP succes kit. Because of change from Prometric Vue to Pearson Vue, I create a new account, because I was a unaware that I can use the old id on Person Vue site. After my OCP exam and 2 months of waiting, my success kit was not delivered to me. So I send and email to OCP team, but it took another two weeks to give me an answer. They cannot see my OCA score reports and they want to provide them the OCA score reports, but the score reports cannot be found on Prometric Vue. After anther email exchange, they want me complete name and surname and of course my email address ?!?! Alter another 2 moths they told me that my two id must be merged. OK. I contact the Person Vue support team but after 10 (ten) weeks they didn't merge my ID's. After another emails to Oracle OCP team and some nice lady from Oracle contact team they merge my ID's and solve my problem. It took seven moths to get my OCP Succes kit. So the OCP support team sucks big time. All the best, Danut from Romania

Hi Danut, We are sorry for the issues that you have had with receiving your success kit. Unfortunately, registering for exams under more than one ID can cause problems with your certifications being generated and success kits being mailed. We have checked with the support team an it appears that your account is sorted out and your kit has been sent to you via expedited shipping. They are sending you the tracking number if you have not already received it. One other item that we checked on with the support team was the turn-around time of emails. Their records show that responses were sent very soon after they received your email. Please check your spam folder(s). We have had issues on occassion, with support emails being sent to spam. This could explain why you did not receive replies. Regardless, we apologize that this was a bad experience for you and hope that the issue has been satisfactorily resolved. We hope that your Oracle Certification will continue to bring you many benefits over the years. Regards, Brandye Barrington

I just want to ask. What is contained in the OCP success kit, apart from the certificate itself???
thanks..

OCP kits contain Welcome Letter (which includes directions on how to access logos), ID card and Certificate.

The email alias ocp-fulfillment_ww@oracle.com, has been decommissioned. It is no longer being monitored. Please submit your request to the Oracle Certification Support Team via our service request tool at http://bit.ly/f39Dny. Posted by keerthi on January 19, 2012 at 04:52 PM PST #

Hi Keerthi,
You should have received an email response letting you know that you'll receive a reply within 3 business days. However, it is better to contact Pearson VUE directly to get your IDs merged. You can request this ID merge at pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge. If you get the IDs merged by Pearson VUE, please let the support team know that this has been completed and that they can close your SR.

Keerthipriyan,
I would suggest that you follow up with Pearson VUE. Call them to let them know that you followed their instruction and the email was undeliverable. They should be able to assist. Typically, getting two IDs merged by Pearson is a pretty quick process, sorry your having trouble with this.

I took my 1Z0-851: Java Exam today at a local Pearson VUE test center and I passed (gloriously, I might add). This being my first Oracle/Sun certification ever, is it enough that I have a Pearson VUE webaccount with all address information filled out properly, or should I also have some kind of account at oracle.com to receive the Certification Success Kit?

Posted by Daniel Debie on January 30, 2012 at 04:01 PM PST #

When you created your Pearson VUE account, the details were automatically transmitted to Oracle to create an account for you in our self-service tool CertView. You can go to certview.oracle.com, provide the info required to authorize your account (first name, last name, candidate id, city, email address - exactly as it is in your Pearson VUE profile), and you will be able to view your certification and exam history, download logos and verify your certification to a 3rd party. At this point, you are all set to receive your kit.

Posted by Tafadzwa Munyuki on August 20, 2012 at 05:52 AM PDT #

Tafadzwa,
You do not get a certificate for passing the 007 exam. This exam is the first step in the certification path for several certifications. Once you have passed the other exam in your chosen path, you will receive a certificate within 6-8 weeks in the mail. If you need to see your score report, you can go to pearsonvue.com/oracle and select the option to print your score report.

Posted by sameer shaikh on August 28, 2012 at 04:13 AM PDT #

Sameer,
You do not have to apply for your certificate. Once the requirements for a certification are completed, you will receive the certificate within 8 weeks. I suggest that you go ahead and make your last attempt at authenticating your CertView account. If it fails a 3rd time, it will be manually processed. You will be contacted with login information within 72 hours. Then you can login to certview.oracle.com and view the status of your certification.

Sorry this has been confusing for you.

Hi,

I have appeared and successfully passed two exams (OCA Track mention below) but yet haven't received Success Kit for the both.

I have raised customer service request 4-5 times. Each time they replied me that they have order for reshipment and I should expect it within 4-6 weeks.

Below are the details of exam for which I haven't received my Success Kit:

1) 1Z0-147-ENU: Program with PL/SQL on Mon, 16 Jul 2012
2) 1Z0-047-ENU-OTC: Oracle Database SQL Expert on Sat, 25 Feb 2012

Any help please.

Posted by Moin Choudhari on October 23, 2012 at 05:08 AM PDT #

Hi Moin,
Did you receive the soft copy of your certificate? You should have received your certificate via email. I am not sure why the kit has not arrived by mail. Are you sure that your address is correct and complete in your Pearson VUE profile? Have you checked with your local mail carriers? Sometimes we have issues with local mail systems. The kits have been shipped, but something is happening in transit that is causing you not to receive the kit.

Hi, i wanna go for OCA certification so i wanna know whether i can go for oracle 11g admin 1???

Posted by guest on October 25, 2012 at 08:32 AM PDT #

For 11g DBA OCA, you are required to pass 2 exams, a SQL exam and the Admin I exam. They do not have to be done in any order, but both exams are required in order to obtain the certification. You can find certification path details for 11g DBA on our website here http://bit.ly/Kx7iac. Good luck on your certification path!

Hi, I wonder if oracle tells me when my certification kit was sent? and as it does? in my Hotmail Or another way?, and if you do know this for 6 to 8 weeks

Posted by guest on March 26, 2013 at 09:22 PM PDT #

@Rishi, The success kit should be automatically generated and sent. If you are in India, Mexico, Bangladesh or China, you will receive your certificate within 3-4 days via email. If you are in any other country, you should receive your success kit in the mail within 6-8 weeks.

@Guest, March 26, You can check your CertView account on the Success Kit Status tab. You should expect your kit to arrive 6-8 weeks from that date.

hi
I did my OCA certification in Dec 2009. Can you please tell me if i can still apply for OPC certification?
Some one told me that its more than 3 years and now for OCP certification i will have to re-appear for OCA certification.

Posted by guest on April 11, 2013 at 02:24 AM PDT #

Your OCA certification remains valid as the prerequisite for OCP as long as the the OCP path is still available in the version of your OCA. For example, if your OCA is in 9i, you will need to complete your OCP in 9i. Be aware that the 9i OCP exams retire on July 31, 2013.

Hi Mudasir,
You can check your certification status at certview.oracle.com. You'll need the Oracle Testing ID and email address that you can find in your profile at pearsonvue.com/oracle to authenticate your Pearson VUE account.

Once you determine that your certification has been granted, you can find more information on the Certification History page on how to receive your certificate.

I still didn't get my success kit. I contacted Oracle they said after Oct2011 if any one completed certification, they should have also completed either online or class room training for any one of the courses mentioned in link below. Can any one let me know the cost of courses in India.

Dear Ranjith,

Thank you for contacting Oracle Certification Team.

Please note that you have completed the exam requirements with in Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator certification track on 05-JAN-13. Please note anyone who has not completed the exam requirements before October 1, 2011, regardless of when they started the certification path, will be required to meet the new requirements, which will include a mandatory course attendance requirement.

You will receive the certification success kit only after completing the Hands on course requirement. Prakash,
If you received an eCertificate via email, it is equivalent to the printed certificate sent by Oracle.

We were experiencing so many issues in certain regions with certificates getting to their destinations, we decided to pilot an eCertificate program so that candidates get their certificates within a few days rather than waiting weeks.

Your success kit is sent through US mail. Unfortunately, there are some regions in which we struggle with mail delivery. Posted by guest on October 28, 2013 at 07:00 PM PDT #

Saranya, you have two option to verify your certification to your employer. 1) You can download and print your certificate from certview.oracle.com or 2) you can choose the option in CertView to 'Publish Credentials to a 3rd Party.' Unfortunately, there are some regions in which we struggle with mail delivery. Please do contact Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/KMsuH3 and request your printed certificate again, but you do not need to wait for this to verify your certification.

Guest, It depends on which exam you passed. You should go to certification.oracle.com and find the certification path that you are following. Check to see if you have completed all the requirements for that certification. If not, you will not receive a certificate yet. Some certifications have multiple requirements.

Venkateswarlu,
Actually these kits are sent via US Mail and are not trackable. There are, unfortunately, regions in which we struggle with package delivery. You may be in one of those regions.

1) Did you provide an alternate address as requested?
2) You can now go to certview.oracle.com and download your certificate for printing.

Hi Hemanth,
If you have only passed the 051 exam, you are not entitled to any certificate. You will be able to find any certificates to which you are entitled in certview.oracle.com. If this is the only exam that you have passed, you will need to pass the next exam in your OCA path to receive a certificate.

Hi,
I completed OCJP 1.6 Certification on 4 Dec, 2013 and requested for success kit on 9 Dec, 2013. I have not received it till now. So i contacted oracle support and they replied that they had shipped me on 13 Dec 2013 and asked me to give alternate postal address.
Now my question is, where i have to give my alternate address? should i have reply over that email which i delivered from oracle support or any where else?
Also, can i give my friend's address for my behalf?

Hi Vivek,
The issue is that in some areas, we have a tremendous amount of trouble with mail arriving through local mail systems. Typically, the support team will ask that you provide an alternate address in order to avoid resending the package to the same address to which it could not previously be delivered. You could give your friend's address, or if you work in an office, you could give your office address.
