FAQ: Sun Candidates & Oracle Testing IDs
By Harold Green on Nov 12, 2010
There seems to be a bit of confusion around some Oracle terminology. Many Sun
candidates are asking what an "Oracle Testing ID" is.
The Oracle Testing ID is your unique identifier, or account number for the Oracle Certification Program. Previously, at Sun, this was referred to as your 'Prometric ID.' This identifier is very important to ensure that all of your exams and all certifications are reported under one account. If you end up with more than one Oracle Testing ID (or Prometric ID), you may take exams under two records. If you are following a multiple exam path and you have taken your exams under different accounts or records, our systems have no way of recognizing that these two exams were actually taken by the same person, so a certification will not be granted until the IDs have been merged.
Ensure that you take all of your exams under one Oracle Testing ID (Prometric ID). If you are unsure of what your Prometric ID is, you can log in to your account at www.prometric.com/oracle and go to 'Update Personal Information' to find your Prometric ID, which will be referred to from here forward as Oracle Testing ID. If you have taken your exams with Pearson VUE, you can find your Oracle Testing ID by logging in to your account at www.pearsonvue.com/oracle. You will see your Oracle Testing ID at the top of the page.
