How To Create Your New Pearson VUE Account

This new Oracle University tutorial shows you how to create a new Pearson VUE web account, as well as migrate an existing Prometric account into your new Pearson VUE profile.  Also be sure and watch if you already have a Pearson VUE log-in but have not yet added Oracle to your profile.

Be sure and follow these steps to make sure that all of your Oracle Certification transcript data is maintained within a single Oracle Testing ID:

hi i did exactly as it's in the video and i don't see my SCJP in my history !!!!!! so what can i do please help

Posted by Mohamed on May 26, 2011 at 02:41 AM PDT #

Mohamed, You will not see any exams that you took at Prometric in your Pearson VUE history. In late June to early July, once the data has been loaded and tested, Sun candidates will be able to view their certification history in Oracle's CertView tool. For most candidates, only certification history will be shown. For some candidates, who took a Part I exam at Prometric and still need to take a Part II exam in order to obtain a certification, exam history will be available in CertView, but for most candidates only certification history will be available. I'm curious why all users have to do this manually, and oracle/pearsons/prometric does not automate this process. I received and email that told me exactly what to fill out in the new application so me spending my time recreating an account because of Oracles decision to change testing providers is sort of wasteful.....

Posted by guest on June 24, 2011 at 12:57 AM PDT #

Dear Guest,
Your data was all uploaded to Pearson VUE, so they have a profile automatically created for you. However, each candidate needs to create their own web account. There is not manual process for this. Regards, Brandye Barrington

Posted by brandye barrington on June 24, 2011 at 03:12 AM PDT #

Kosumi, you can take your Part II exam with Pearson VUE. When you create your Pearson VUE web account, be sure that you include your Prometric ID so that all of your records will remain under a single ID. This way, there will be no dely in processing your certification. If you end up with your exams under different IDs, the only way to obtain the certification is to request Pearson VUE to merge the IDs. Regards,
Brandye Barrington

Hello,I completed my Solaris SCSA 1 at Prometric centre,I have got a mail to create new Pearsonvue profile , during creation asked me if you’ve tested with Oracle Certification Program before Choose Yes ,but wrongly I entered no and
’ and enter my Oracle Testing ID - previously referred as my Prometric ID .My profile created successfully but I can update contact details , unable to view exam details ,Please tell me how can I correct my profile .plz help me..

Posted by guest on June 24, 2011 at 03:32 AM PDT #

Guest, you will not be able to view the exams that you took at Prometric in your Pearson VUE profile. You will only be able to view the exams you take at Pearson VUE.

The first thing you need to do is confirm if you have two IDs - a Prometric ID and an ID created by Pearson VUE. If so, you'll need to have Pearson VUE merge these IDs. Please contact suncert_ww@oracle.com for assistance with this issue. Please provide all IDs you may have.

Manwerjalil,
You should have created your Pearson VUE account using your Prometric ID. If you have two IDs - a Prometric ID and an Oracle Testing ID, then you will need to request Pearson VUE to merge your two IDs. You can submit this request at pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge. If you need further assistance, please contact suncert_ww@oracle.com.

Dear Guest,
You will still have one year to complete your assignment. Your assignment must be submitted before you can register for your essay at Pearson VUE. You can find more information on how to submit your completed assignment and take the essay on our website http://bit.ly/juczx9.

@Guest (June 24),
You should contact Pearson VUE customer service for assistance. You can find the appropriate contact numbers at pearsonvue.com/oracle/contact. They will best be able to assist with your specific situation.

@Kosumi,
If you have already created your Pearson VUE web account without entering your previous ID, you were probably issued a new ID. You will need to submit a request to Pearson VUE to have the 2 IDs merged. You can do this at pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge.

Hi,
I am trying to link my Pearson VUE account to Oracle CertView. I have provided the details like Name, E-mail Address, Oracle TestID and City exactly as in my Pearson profile, but no success.

1. My Pearson account was activated on 1-Aug and I logged in to Pearson and changed the default password provided on 2-Aug.
2. My Oracle account has been in use for a long time, and I have provided the same official e-mail ID in both Pearson and Oracle profiles.

Could you please advise as to when I can try logging into Oracle CertView to provide the verification information again. I am assuming the synchronization between Oracle and Pearson profile has not happened as mine is a new Pearson account.

It can take up to 48 hours for data to be uploaded from Pearson VUE to CertView. Try again now. If you are still having difficulty, please contact suncert_ww@oracle.com. Please provide any and all IDs you may have so that they can assist. Also, please allow 3 business days for a response.

I was trying to create a new web account but after i moved forward from the OPN-ID page, i was not redirected to user name page and was asked to wait for one business day for receiving my User name and password.
I am a bit confused, as i am a new user for pearson vue why i got into that page..

How much time will it take to receive my User name and pwd??

Regards,
Ankit

Posted by Ankit on August 31, 2011 at 12:14 AM PDT #

@Ginni, you do not need to create your Pearson VUE web account before your voucher expires, you only need to complete your exam before your voucher expires. If you are having difficulty creating your Pearson VUE web account, please contact Pearson VUE at pearsonvue.com/oracle/contact.

@Ankit, You will receive further communication from Pearson VUE, please await further instruction from them. What likely happened is that your name or other information closely matched that of another candidate so the account was referred to a person for review. This process helps to avoid candidates obtaining more than one ID which affects their exam and certification records. Pearson support will review and provide you with your login details.

Ginni,
Just a clarification - Pearson VUE is showing your exam history, not your certification history. Glad that you have this part complete! Now, you do need to login to CertView. If it is not accepting your details, please go ahead and try again. After 3 failed attempts, the account will be referred for manual processing, so please go ahead and submit again and again if necessary so that this will be referred to our team and sorted out for you.

Posted by guest on January 11, 2012 at 02:17 AM PST #

It is likely that when you created your Pearson VUE account, you received a new Oracle Testing ID. If you received a number starting with 'OC' when you created your Pearson VUE account, you'll need to have this ID merged with your Prometric ID in order for all of your records to show up under a single CertView account. You can request this merge at pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge.

Posted by Dubois Mickael on February 29, 2012 at 01:20 AM PST #

Hi Dubois,
Your Prometric exam history will not show in your Pearson VUE profile. You can view your certification history at certview.oracle.com. Due to some data issues, the Sun exam history was not brought over to the Oracle database, only the certification history. The only exception to this is for candidates who were in the middle of a multi-exam certification path at the transition and need to complete additional steps. Limited exam history for those candidates will be in CertView.

Your certificate should arrive in 4-6 weeks. In order to access your CertView account, you will need the details from your Pearson VUE account. I suggest that you go to pearsonvue.com/oracle and login. Then go to My Account and get these items - exactly as they are entered in your Pearson VUE profile:

First Name:
Last Name:
Email Address:
City:
Oracle Testing ID:

Then go to certview.oracle.com and enter those items exactly and you should be able to authorize and access your CertVeiw account.

Hi,

I cleared my SCJP in 2005. There is a Prometric ID (XXXXX). Now I have scheduled my OCPWCD(1Z0-858) exam by creating a account in Pearson VUE website. But I forgot to provide my Prometric ID while creating the account. Based on discussion with Pearson, I have asked them to merge my two accounts. Now the problem is they have asked for contact details (like Address, Phone Number, email etc) while taking request to merge the account. I have provided them my current contact details. But my current contact details are different from the one that is available in Prometric Account/ CertView Account. Will it be a problem to merge these two accounts?

Here is the number that I have for Pearson VUE India - 0008004401837. If that number is not working, please submit a service request to the Oracle Certification Support team http://bit.ly/KMsuH3, providing both IDs and indicating which ID you'd like to keep. Let them know that you cannot get through to Pearson VUE India on the published number and the Certification Support team will assist in getting this merge taken care of.

Ashok,
First, I suggest that you go to certview.oracle.com to check your history and be sure that all of your requirements have been fulfilled under the same ID. There will be instructions on the Certification History page to tell you how to proceed with different issues that may be causing your certificate to be delayed.

Hello,

I checked my Pearson VUE account today, but I put a different mail that I had not registered in the Prometric account , I still have not recieved confirmation email, there is a problem to have registered a different email that does not match with the Prometric account ?

Thanks!

@guest - you do not receive your results via mail. You should have received an email notification that your results are available at certview.oracle.com. If you did not receive the notification, go to that URL, login and select the See My New Exam Results Now option.

@Sandra, It is possible that you have 2 Oracle Testing IDs. 1) Check your account at certview.oracle.com to see if you can see your test results. If not, 2) contact Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/KMsuH3 to inquire if there is another ID on file for you. If so, the IDs will need to be merged. You can request this merge at pearsonvue.com/oracle.

You do not actually receive your results by mail, you should receive an email telling you that your results are available in CertView. Sometimes, due to mail system controls or spam filters, these emails may not be delivered. You did the right thing in going to check CertView on your own. However, I'm a bit concerned that you could not see your exam results under the See My New Exam Results Now tab.

I'm going to ask you to do 2 things.

1) Go back to CertView and check the Exam History tab to see if you see your exam there. You should also be able to access the exam results from that screen.
2) Please submit an SR to Oracle Certification Support http://bit.ly/KMsuH3 to let them know that your results were on under See My New Exam Results Now. Also let them know if you're able to access the exam results under Exam History.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. I know that it is important to receive your exam score as soon as possible.

Hi,

I gave the Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator Certified Professional Exam, Part I exam in May 2011.

Now i want to give Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator Certified Professional Exam, Part 2 but the part 1 history is not present in Pearson VUE.

At that time my Candidate ID was SR7344867.

How do i get the details of my last exam to be visible in Pearson VUE.

Also if I do part 2 of the exam via different ID will I be getting the certificate (as it says both part 1 and part 2 has be completed to get the certificate)

Ishank,
Did you take the Part I exam at Prometric or Pearson VUE? If you took it at Prometric, the results would not be visible on the Pearson VUE website. If you have not done so already, you'll need to create a web account at Pearson VUE, using the same Testing ID you used for your previous exam. If, for some reason, Pearson assigns you a new testing ID, you should call them immediately (pearsonvue.com/oracle/idmerge) and request to have the ids merged.

You are correct, that both exams need to be taken under the same ID.

I have requested for Pearson VUE account and I have Oracle Web Account. I have requested but it's more than two days I have not received any Pearson VUE Account response from them till now. I have contacted Pearson VUE Customer Care Executive but I couldn't get any positive response, they are telling it might take 48 hours also. I have the exam voucher. How can I get the details from Pearson VUE asap?

Hi Suvradip,
I suggest that you call Pearson VUE again and request an escalation. If they say it will be 48 hours, you will probably have to wait 48 hours.
