This is Your Last Chance to Take the Oracle Exadata 11g Essentials (1Z0-536) Exam

This is a reminder that the Oracle Exadata 11g Essentials Exam (1Z0-535) retires December 21, 2013. This exam and the resulting certification have been replaced with a newer version. Obtain the new Exadata Database Machine Models X3-2 and X3-8 Certified Implementation Specialist certification by taking "Exadata Database Machine Models X3-2 and X3-8 Implementation Essentials" (exam 1Z0-485), which is currently available in production.

If you plan to take the 1Z0-536 exam, register now to take this exam, or review the exam topics for exam 1Z0-485 and plan to adjust your preparation to take the new exam. Existing certification holders, note that this retirement suspends the delivery of any further exams, but does not affect your certification. If you currently hold the Oracle Exadata 11g Certified Implementation Specialist certification, your credential remains fully valid.

This exam continues to be offered through December 21, 2013. Candidates pursuing these certification paths must successfully complete the required certification exam by this date. Update Your Acme Packet Network Engineer Certification to Oracle

The Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Certified Implementation Specialist certification is now available by passing exam Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials (1Z0-400) that was released November 1, 2013. This exam and certification replace the Acme Packet Certified Professional Network Engineers (ACP-N) exam and certification. 

IF YOU HAVE A CURRENT CERTIFICATION
If you are an Acme Packet Certified Professional Network Engineer (ACP-N), your certification history is now available via Oracle Certification’s candidate self-service portal CertView. Access your CertView account by following the steps provided in an upcoming email from Oracle Certification.

IF YOU HAVE AN EXPIRED CERTIFICATION
If you have an expired Acme Packet Certified Professional Network Engineer (ACP-N) certification, update your certification today by passing the new Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials (1Z0-400) exam. Follow the steps provided in an upcoming email from Oracle Certification, to create a Person VUE web account and register for your exam.

If you hold a current or expired ACP-N and do not receive the referenced email by December 7, contact Oracle Certification Support for next steps. 

If you are pursuing the Acme Packet Certified Professional Network Engineers (ACP-N) certification, you will now register for exam 1Z0-400 at Pearson VUE. You will take this exam at a testing center.

QUESTIONS
Will Partners still receive exams for free under the Oracle Certification Program?
Your Oracle Partner Agreement governs the exam and payment terms. Refer to your Partner Agreement.

Will employees still receive the Acme Packet exams for free under the Oracle Certification Program?
Go to Oracle's internal certification web pages for more information on Oracle Certification for employees.

Do I need a keycode to take the exams?
You will no longer need a keycode to take the exams. Exams are now delivered at Pearson VUE and Oracle Testing Centers (OTC). OTCs are not available in all regions. 

How much are the certification exams under the Oracle Certification Program?
Oracle Certification proctored exams are $245 USD. Find the cost in your local currency on the Oracle Certification Website.

How do I register for exams under the Oracle Certification Program?
You can take the exam either at a Pearson VUE Test Center (PVTC) or at an Oracle Testing Center (OTC).

Go to the Pearson VUE Website to register to take the exam at a Pearson VUE Test Center. During registration, you will select an appointment time, date and location that are convenient for you. You will first need to create a Pearson VUE web account. If you are an existing or expired ACP-N, you will need to create the web account using the details that will be emailed to you by mid-December. 

Go to the Oracle University Website to register to take the exam at an OTC. You will need an Oracle Web Account, which you will be prompted to create before registering. OTCs are not available in all regions.

Do I need to recertify under Oracle to receive an Oracle certificate?
You will not need to recertify with the Oracle Certification Program if your ACP-N certification had not expired before November 1, 2013. Your existing certification is recognized as valid and current. You will upgrade your certification to a new version once one is available.

You will need to recertify with the Oracle Certification Program if your ACP-N certification expired before November 1, 2013. You will take the exam "Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials" (1Z0-400).

All other Acme Packet exams have retired and certifications are no longer available.

Can anyone take the Acme Packet exams now, or are they restricted to Acme Packet/Oracle customers?
Oracle Certification exams are available to all candidates (under Acme Packet, the exams were only available to Acme Packet employees, customers and partners). You do not have to be an employee of an Oracle customer or partner to take the certification exams and obtain the certifications. 

My certificate says that my Acme Packet certification expires in 3 years, and there is no equivalent certification. What do I do?
The Acme Packet Certification Program has retired. There are no updated Acme Packet Certifications available. 

If your ACP-N certification was current on November 1, 2013, no action is required at this time. You will upgrade your certification when a new version of the certification is released.

If your ACP-N certification expired before November 1, 2013, you will renew your certification by passing "Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials" (1Z0-400), and obtaining Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Certified Implementation Specialist.

When will my ACP-N certification expire?
Your ACP-N certification will remain valid without expiration if it was current on November 1, 2013. In order to keep your certification current with the latest technology release, you will need to upgrade your certification as new versions are released.

When should I stop using the Acme Packet certification logo?
Your Acme Packet Certification logo may only be used until your certification expires. This does not apply to ACP-N Professionals, who held a current certification as of November 1, 2013, as those certifications will not expire.

Where do I take the exam?
Oracle Certification Exams are delivered by our test vendor, Pearson VUE, and at Oracle Testing Centers (not available in all regions). Take "Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials" (1Z0-400) at one of these locations.

I failed my recent exam attempt, can I retake the Acme Packet Exam?
If you were pursuing Acme Packet Certified Professional Network Engineer (ACP-N), take "Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Implementation Essentials" (1Z0-400). This is the same exam that has been rebranded by Oracle. This exam will lead to Oracle Communications Session Border Controller Certified Implementation Specialist certification.

All other Acme Packet exams are no longer available - deliveries via of these exams terminated as of November 1, 2013.

What If I Don't Get An Exam Results Email Alert?

Exam results are available directly from Oracle's certification portal, CertView. This requires candidates to authenticate their CertView accounts before being able to access their exam results. The Oracle Certification team has developed a series of videos to help candidates through this process.
