IMPORTANT NOTICE: Your Oracle Database 10g OCP Requirements May Not be Complete

If you have passed all the required Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) exams, but have not submitted your required course details, you will need to do so by September 1, 2015 to complete your certification path and earn the credential.

Oracle Database 10g exams and certification paths retired on March 1, 2015. If you have not done so yet, you must provide verification of your completed training by September 1, 2015 to complete your Oracle Database 10g Administrator OCP certification. 

You will need to submit this form to earn your certification. 

To provide verification of your completed training:

  1. Log in to the Pearson VUE website.
  2. Select Submit Course Form.
  3. You will need your course details such as course title, date, city, and enrollment ID (enrollment ID is not required for Workforce Development (WDP), Oracle Academy (OA), Training on Demand (TOD), or Unlimited Learning Subscription (ULS) courses).

After September 1, 2015 Oracle will no longer grant Oracle 10g DBA OCP credentials.

*If you have provided verification of your completed training and have not received your certification you may have completed your requirements under more than one Oracle Testing ID. Please contact Pearson VUE to request an Oracle Testing ID merge.

**Keep in mind that, based on Oracle's new Recertification Policy, once you complete the Oracle Database 10g DBA OCP requirements, you will need to upgrade to a current version of Oracle Database certification to keep your credentials active. This is important. You can read the full Recertification Policy information on the Oracle Certification website.

Action is Required to Keep Your Oracle Database 10g Certification Active

Do you hold an Oracle Database 10g certification as your latest version of Oracle Database certification? If so, action is required to keep your credentials active.

Your credentials are retired. Based on Oracle's recertification policy, you have until March 1, 2016 to upgrade to a current credential to remain active and maintain the benefits of an active certification.

Keeping your certification current is just as important as earning your initial certification. This is an important part of keeping your skills and knowledge up-to-date and being able to make informed decisions about the databases you manage.

REMINDER: Action is Required to Keep Your Certification Active

If your most current Oracle Database Certification is on Oracle9i Database or earlier, keep your credential(s) active by upgrading to a current version of Oracle Database certification by November 1, 2015. 

Oracle Certification announced a new Recertification Policy in November 2014, requiring you to maintain a current version or certification in order to keep your Oracle Database credentials in an active status. This is a reminder that on November 1, 2015 your current Oracle7 - Oracle9i Database credentials will become inactive unless you upgrade to a current version of Oracle Database certification before that date.

Please take action as soon as possible if you are in this situation, in order to remain active and maintain access to current Oracle Certification benefits.

REMINDER: Complete Your Oracle Database 10g Certification Before it Retires in March 2015

The Oracle Database 10g exams and credentials, and the Oracle9i Database upgrade exams listed below retire on March 1, 2015.

If you have partially completed a 10g Database certification path, complete the remaining requirements before March 1, 2015 to avoid having to start over with a new certification path. Completing a certification path includes passing all required exams, taking any required training and submitting the course form. If your certification path (as noted on the track page) requires submission of a course form, certification will only be granted after you have submitted the form.

Schedule your 10g exams well before the retirement date to allow for an exam retake if one is needed. The 14-day retake policy will be enforced. Visit the Oracle Certification Website for more information on this retirement.

Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g Essentials Exam to Retire

Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g Essentials (exam 1Z0-541) retires on April 29th, 2015.  

A new exam, Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 Essentials (1Z0-430) is available in production and is validated against Release 11.1.1.8.  This new exam is designed to recognize knowledge and implementation experience in the latest features of the Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g product. This exam leads to the Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 Certified Implementation Specialist certification.

During this transition, we recommend that candidates take the new exam 1Z0-430 Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 Essentials in order to stay current with the latest materials. You can get all the exam details on the Oracle Certification Website.

Oracle Partners: Please note that as of April 28th, 2015, the 1Z0-541 Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g Essentials exam will no longer be available but will continue to qualify as criteria for the Oracle WebCenter Portal 11g Specialization. If you have already achieved certification by taking exam 1Z0-541, you will not need to take the new exam in order to meet the competency criteria for the WebCenter Portal 11g Specialization.
