This post covers ERP prerequisite steps to be completed for Oracle Analytics for Applications.

Ensure that you complete the following prerequisite steps in Oracle ERP Cloud:

  1. Assign financial categories to the natural accounts for the required Chart of Accounts
  2. Make the key flexfield segments of your chart of accounts BI-enabled.
  3. Create segment labels for the desired segments and map them to the BI object names.
  4. Flatten and publish hierarchies in Oracle ERP Cloud.
  5. Ensure that the segment label code is less than 22 characters.
  6. Assign hierarchies to required segment in your chart of accounts.
  7. Run the scheduled programs.
  8. Exchange Rates setup for Analytics Currency

Note:- It is recommended to have these prerequisites in place before getting started with data activation plan but none of these configurations/prerequisites are hard constraints to begin with the data activation pipeline. These can be reviewed, updated even on prospective basis as part of life-cycle management to reflect changes appropriately in Oracle Analytics for Applications.
