From An Oracle Graduate Trainee !!!

Guest Author

As a finance majored student, in the past few
years, I knew little information about the IT industry. For me Oracle only
means a NASDAQ listed company with reasonable revenue and share price, maybe
also with an excellent gain potential. When I was a member of
Oracle for only few weeks I got the whole picture and that is not only what
professionalism means by but also orientation, responsibility, attitude,
competency, love and enthusiasm. It is not only a work or a
task but also a kind of lifestyle. After four weeks training I cannot express
that I am really an Oracler but I have to say that I am ready to start forming
myself a qualified Oracle employee.  What I got here cannot be measured by welfare or financial
benefits. It is about my life and my spirit. If I am looking for a job
providing comfortable life, actually Oracle could not be a good choice. Fortunately,
I am seeking for something which could make me smart and professional, so
Oracle fit me better than any others. Although I am still a beginner in Oracle,
I am looking forward to see what I could be five years later.

Be Smart, be Oracle

The first step is as good as half over...

It’s been 4 months since I have become an employee of
Oracle. When I recalled my time in school, I feel lucky to have the chance to
start my career in such a successful company. Before I join I didn’t
know Oracle’s culture, I didn’t  know why it
became successful. Now I want to share some information I learned in last
month.

Self Service - Oracle encourage self service. You can find
everything you need at Oracle’s intranet. This has largely reduced the time
consumed in communicating with different departments, especially in such a big organization like Oracle. For me, I can
find lots of study materials like pdf, ppt, doc files or even demos on company’s
internal website. As long as you want to learn, Oracle will provide the same resources no matter you are fresh man or
experienced worker.

Knowledge - Everyone in Oracle is an expert in some area. Just like my manager
said, “there are many people who are familiar with Oracle’s
products outside Oracle, so theoretically speaking, there won’t be An ’easy’ questions
delivered to our company”. This is a good chance for someone who just graduated
from university, learn from the experienced colleagues and grow faster.

Self Motivation - Oracle has a nice and free working atmosphere, but
it’s not a non-profitable organization after all. Result driven and
achievements are in Oracle’s culture. You should show your value to the
company and develop you potential fast enough in order to keep up the fast
expansion. In Oracle, you are not just competing with the people in this city
or even this country, instead, you are competing with the best people all over
the world.

Join Oracle and you will
definitely not regret :)
