My name is Arlene and I am a Business Relationship Consultant for HCM. I had always heard about Oracle and knew it would be a
fantastic company to work for, but so far they have really exceeded my expectations. This was my first job for a huge organisation and the mix of
nerves and excitement was bursting out of me. I couldn’t wait to get started.
I was told I would be doing a foundation training course for two weeks in Clontarf Castle in Dublin. I had no idea I would enjoy the training session so much and meet such great new people and friends. I was so nervous on the first day but just had to remind myself that everyone else was in the same situation. Over the two weeks we learned such skilful information about products and services that Oracle provide and skills we would need but most importantly we learned life lessons. For the two weeks, two men stick in my head, Paul Lanigan and John Costigan.
These two men came in separately and taught us how to be the best sales person we can be. But not only in work, they taught us skills for
outside of work too. I thoroughly enjoyed both these sessions and learned skills that will most definitely help me work to my best potential here in
For such a large organisation they managed to make these two weeks so personal and comfortable for everyone involved. I looked forward to
coming into training every day and was genuinely sad that it was over. I met some really great people and am still in touch with them today even though some of us are in different countries. I cannot recommend this training enough, it managed to tick all the boxes for me with regards to keeping me entertained
whilst also learning new skills and information that will benefit my career.
It was a fantastic way to kick-start my career in Oracle and it really gave me the boost I needed to see what I need to do to be a success both in work and outside work. I gained skills and knowledge that will stay with me for life.
