Today is my 158th day in Oracle. And I want to build my
future in Oracle to 15,800 days. You know why? Because since the start of my
internship, I am learning skills which I cannot learn in school. In my first
week I met my team, who I knew from my summer internship in 2013, and I made
myself a plan which was very useful for my development in Oracle. I started to
work on some database issues, took notes about them and made demos of them.
After I learned them, I started to prepare presentations about them. Now I have
my own presentation about all database issues in Oracle 12c, and I am ready to
present them to customers. With this, my mentor and director who are very
helpful in my development support me and this gives me self-motivation and
self-confidence. I presented to our customers; I went to field and developed
myself with my mentor etc. In conclusion my work development is on the right
However, Oracle is not focused only on work. I have learned
that Oracle is a big family. We arrange team breakfasts with our families,
basketball games; football tournaments and we go out and drink coffee together.
When you are a junior engineer who recently graduated from university and you
experience this working environment, you become excited about work after school
and about your future. I just want to say thank you to my team, my mentor and
my director, everything is very good in Oracle.
