Thoughts from IIT Kharagpur Campus Hires

One of the many qualities of Oracle that strikes me as brilliant is its recruitment process and the confidence it has in its training process. True to its name, the hiring process of the company has an incorporated feature to be able to foresee and recognize talent irrespective of the academic background.
The technical training was self sufficient to take care of the convergent work and was designed to be inclusive in nature. Moreover, the trainers are really helpful and try to resolve all doubts to the maximum extent possible. The last two months in Oracle has been absolutely wonderful and has given me a stable foundation on which I could build a successful technical career.
Being a Campus Hire, work environment was new to me when I first stepped in ORACLE-Hyderabad IDC. My new job which involved exploring new technologies and implementing it was astonishingly satisfying. My two-month journey in Oracle has facilitated in adapting to the corporate life and I am beginning to understand the weight of responsibilities.
In spite of all training and learning, the fun and nurturing environment at workplace did not let my naive expectations down. Currently, my internal training is going on and every day I am getting introduced to new jargon and technology, which I will be working on in my coming days. The support of my manager and colleagues makes knowledge transfer quite simple. The one aspect of working in Oracle which I liked most is the optimum balance between work and fun; and the freedom you get in doing your work.
