Spotlight on an office – Munich (Germany)

I’m Lisa and I’m part of the EMEA Graduate Recruitment Team. Within this team, I’m responsible for all campus related topics across Germany, such as career fairs, campus events, open days and social media activities. With these measures, I’m helping to build up a strong Oracle employer brand.
Oracle’s has had an office in Munich since 1989, and in 1996 the office moved to the ‘Atrium’, which is located near the city center, north of the Olympic Park. There are lots of possible leisure activities in and around Munich; visiting one of the famous ‘beer gardens’, going to the ‘Oktoberfest’ (which is taking place the end of September), swimming in one of the lakes surrounding Munich, hiking in the nearby Alps, cycling in and around the city, visiting one of the great art museums, going to a concert in the old Olympic Stadium, watching a football game (preferably Champions League with Bayern München!) or just relaxing in one of Munich’s numerous parks.
The German headquarters are located in Munich and as such, the German Managing Partner and other departments of the Country Leader Team are based here. Other Oracle teams based in Munich include: Sales, Consulting, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, a Customer Visit Center (CVC) and also Business Operations. Altogether, more than 500 people are located in two ‘Atrium’ buildings on four different floors in each building.
Within the office we always have some team events, like taking part at B2Run; a running competition with lots of teams from different companies, or a summer party to kick off the new fiscal year where we host get-togethers on each floor where different teams get to meet new teams and co-workers, all of which make it a great place to work.
