Demonstrate your readiness for today’s workforce!
The global job market is more competitive than ever. Students need to showcase their skills to distinguish themselves in the job market. How?

  • Consider participating in the Oracle Education Foundation’s ThinkQuest International Competition.
  • Develop an application that solves a real-world problem using the same process that Oracle and other industry leaders follow to develop their world-class applications.
  • Gain a competitive edge by showcasing your Java, JavaScript, Flash, PL/SQL, PHP, MySQL and Oracle 10g skills to potential employers.

At the end of your project, you will have first-hand application development experience and an in-depth understanding of the real-world processes that will interest potential employers. It’s almost as good as an internship!
The challenge
The ThinkQuest International Competition challenges students to solve a real-world problem by applying their critical thinking, communication, and technology skills.
Build a team
Teams need one Coach, and 1-6 students age 22 and under.
Create an entry
Participants will develop a web-based application or game using their choice of programming language from a select list. Resources, including free hosting and application development environments will be available to help teams submit their best work.
Win prizes
Prizes include laptop computers, a trip to ThinkQuest Live and cash grants for the coach’s school, or organization. Upon request, teams will be provided with their percentile ranking.

Go on! Take the challenge and demonstrate your workforce readiness today!

The Competition ends on April 27th 2011
