Menu for the Weekend

Two weeks ago we had a huge BBQ oyster feast over at a friends house. Hog Island Oysters, Domaine Carneros 2001 Brut Cuvee Portugese Chorizo from The Fatted Calf and a vast quantity of Bruschetta on fire grilled Acme ciabatta toasts.

Last weekend it was some nice cheeses and meats from Woodside Deli and a Santa Maria Tri-tip from Bobby Lee's Country Smokehouse in Hayward on fine Acme rolls. (No links for Acme Bakery, Woodside Deli or Bobby Lee's, but all are worth checking out!)

I haven't felt inspired this weekend yet. I'm not big on planning too far ahead. We generally like to be inspired by what we find or whatever we're craving. It's supposed to be hot and sunny (finally) so I'm pretty sure we will be BBQing again. We have a lamb loving friend who owe a big favour so if he's available on Sunday we will probably do marinated lamb chops on the grill with grilled asparagus.
