Oracle is preparing for their annual Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco on Sept 16-19th.  Every year, thousands of Oracle customers attend this event to learn best practices and news about Oracle products. This year's show will feature over 1,000 sessions on technology trends, Oracle solutions and customer use cases.  One highlight of this year's show, will be several sessions that focus on how emerging techologies are changing the face of retail and consumer markets.  As consumers demand to know more about products before they purchase, technologies like blockchain will play a key role in helping shoppers make conscious decisions. If you're attending Oracle OpenWorld this year, be sure and add these sessions on Wed, Sept 18th to your calendar using the agenda builder tool.

Sessions on Retail and Blockchain to add to your OpenWorld agenda:

Bridge Physical and Digital Retailing with 3D Blockchain BUS6083

Today’s consumers have become increasingly discriminant about the products they want to be around, wear, and ingest. Retailers and brands alike have to respond by providing full transparency about their products right at the shelf. Providing this trusted and uncontested information is only becoming more and more challenging, as supply chains continue to experience additional complexities, and competitive pressures increase. In this session join Oracle and partner Smartrac to learn how vital transformational technologies such as blockchain, RFID, NFC, and the cloud are fueling today’s consumer engagement and supply chain visibility.

Wed, Sept 18, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM

  • Mario Vollbracht, Global Director, Consumer Markets, ISG, Oracle
  • Dinesh Dhamija, President & CTO, Smartrac Technology
