Sun MD "Double-Wide"

We shipped our first double-wide Sun MD to a customer this week, I saw it arrived all safe and sound today! Well, by double-wide, we really mean two Sun MD S20s in a row.

Here is a picture of the double-wide leaving the factory showroom:

Just FYI, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that a double-wide Sun MD is more likely to attract tornadoes to the locale. The increased number of tornadoes is only scientifically proven with double-wide mobile homes (not data centers).

I didn't see where you were posting from, I do have some references for you though. As described at this site: http://ezinearticles.com/?Double-Wide-Mobile-Homes-vs-Single-Wide-Mobile-Homes&id=737282

Most flaws in single / double wide trailers tend to occur in transport as they are manufactured within a factory and then moved to the location. As "mobile" as the term implies, the less you move these things around the better. Shop close to the final destination of your home. Trailer parks also often have monthly rental fees. While in the park, most of the time, the mobile homes themselves stay put and you'll buy your home just like any other home, pay a modest location fee, and then continue to pay a monthly location fee within the park.

It is truly difficult to give "global" advice on single / double wides. Many times there are local "rules" and "restrictions" about location and foundation stability that someone states away would never know.

Good luck finding a new home.
