BlogEd 0.7rc3 is out

Before going on my cycle tour I quietly released a new version of BlogEd. The time zone problem has been fixed, so that one can now post to roller from all over the world. A few other bug fixes, but otherwise not much. There should be more fixes later in September when various groups come back from holidays.

Hey the java web start link works :)

Well I also seem to have problems with the java web start link on OSX. It works on my friends Windows XP machine. I can't tell what the problem could be. Perhaps some cachine issue.

So please anyone who has similar experiences please let me know. Of course if anyone has any idea what could be wrong that would be great :-)

No problems with java web start nor with the prepackaged OSX version. I am just wondering what is the easiest way to customize the front page and overall look of the html output, i.e. change the template? This is the easiest app for blogging period. Really great work and thanks.

You may want to try BlogEd 0.8 preview where it is a lot easier to see how to change the template. In that version all you need to do is place a blog.xhtml.template file in your xxx.blog directory. You can create one by looking at the example, and using the syntax described in the comment for the SiteWriter.java class.
