Lately, I've been executing a series of MySQL NDB Cluster benchmark tests on a small network of Sun dual-CPU dual-core servers running Solaris 10.

  • I've been testing the performance differences seen when installing SQL server and ndb storage server on individual nodes versus installing them on each node. I've noticed that binding the SQL server to a single CPU and its local memory substantially improves the performance.

  • More detailed results and discussion will appear on this blog shortly.
