Today I jump on another plane to visit the Oracle Benelux User Group annual conference.  I'll be talking about Forms and ADF, and in particular, how you can move over your applications and skills - if that's what you want to do.  So if you are in the region and Forms and ADF is on your radar, come along!

I've uploaded two new videos on to the ADF Insider Essentials You Tube channel.  These latest include customizing an ADF search, and programatically resetting a table selection.

I'll be demonstrating the Oracle Fusion development experience and delivering an Oracle ADF Masterclass in Portugal on the 12th and 13th of April 2012.  This will be an opportunity to find out how Oracle develops their Fusion applications and an overview of the framework which is at the heard of Oracle's future: Oracle ADF. I'll also be part of a Q&A panel, so any questions on Forms/ADF, this is your chance!

Lynn Munsinger from the ADF Enablement team has published an ADF Insider on how to build ADF Faces UIs.  This sessions covers topics such as prototyping, layout and geometery management and should be essential watching for anyone building ADF Faces pages.

Sometimes in ADF land you need to check the value of an attribute that has just been changed...maybe you have a requirement that a new value must be within 10% of the previous value.  There is a neat solution to implement this as shown by Chris Muir in this ADF Insider Essential on our YouTube Channel.

Right, for all you doomsayers who have been foretelling the desupport of Oracle Forms, I've some news for you....you are still wrong.   Maybe one day you will be right (and maybe one day the guy with the sandwich board shuffling around the town center in the brown trenchcoat saying "The End is Nigh" might also be right), but for the meantime, Forms goes on.  I've published a new statement of direction on OTN.  As my colleague Chris Muir pointed out, Forms has outlived...
