Video: Great Lakes Oracle Conference 2014 Preview

Once again this year the Northeast Ohio Oracle Users Group (NEOOUG) is hosting the Great Lakes Oracle Conference, May 13-14, 2014, in Cleveland Ohio, on the campus of Cleveland State University.

The event draws hundreds of attendees from the Great Lakes region and beyond. This year's event includes more than 40 technical sessions, including keynote presentations by Tom Kyte and Oracle ACE Director Scott Spendolini. Session presenters include Oracle ACE Directors Steven Feuerstein, Alex Gorbachev, and Cameron Lackpour.

In this video interview Northeast Ohio Oracle Users Group (NEOOUG) President and Oracle ACE John Hurley and Sr. NEOOUG Chairman Rumpi Gravenstein share details and a little background on the Conference.

Video: Collaborate 2014 Previews

Collaborate 2014 gets underway in Las Vegas in a matter of days, April 7-11. The video interviews below are just a tiny sampling of the expertise and activities that will be a part of that event.

Oracle ACE Director and Cloudera solution architect Gwen Shapira talks about her role in organizing the Big Data track for Collaborate 2014, discusses which of her skills is the most valuable in a Big Data world, and uses the word "Hadoopy" in a sentence.

Oracle ACE Director Ron Batra, Director of Cloud Product Solutions at AT&T, is a member of the IOUG Cloud Computing special interest group and headed the committee for the Cloud Computing track at Collaborate 2014. In this interview Ron talks about the sessions in this year's Collaborate Cloud track, and about how that track has evolved since last year's event.

Steve Lemme, Director of Partner Enablement at Oracle and a former member of the board of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG), talks about the IOUG Cloud SIG and some of the Cloud SIG activities planned for Collaborate 2014.

Chris Ostrowski, an Oracle ACE and a solution architect with Avout, talks about service oriented architecture principles, SOA applications, Oracle BPM. JDeveloper, and other topics he'll cover in his three presentations at Collaborate 2014.

A frequent guest on OTN ArchBeat Podcasts, Oracle ACE Director Ron Batra is Director of Cloud Product Solutions at AT&T. As if that doesn't keep him busy enough, Ron is also a member of the Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG) Cloud Computing SIG, and headed up the committee for the Cloud Computing track at this year's Collaborate 2014, which gets underway one week from today (April 7-11)at the Venetian and Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
