What's In It For You? The Oracle Applications Virtual Tradeshow
By Brian Dayton-Oracle on Jan 26, 2011
I've blogged about what you can expect and how it works--especially if you've never attended a virtual tradeshow.
The lineup is strong, featuring General Managers and senior executives from Oracle's E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Fusion Applications product lines.
If you're interested in hearing more about Oracle Fusion Applications we're also trying to get the word out, using tools like LinkedIn and the Oracle Applications page on Facebook, that this is the place to be. And that place is your desktop.
What If You're Looking for Something Specific?
Over the past few weeks a number of my peers have also been blogging about specific elements of the program. For example:
Customer Relationship Management
If your primary interest is in CRM, key sessions called out in Ruth Donohue's blog entry mention Oracle CRM On Demand customer Pella's quest for rapid success and the decision process that CBeyond went through during their upgrade to Siebel 8.1.1
Master Data Management
David Butler from Oracle's MDM team is fired up for his session with customer Wind River Systems where David and Matt Lawrence, Sr. Director, Global Applications will talk about the situation at Wind River before the MDM solution, their new MDM based information architecture, their business strategy for success, and the results. Giddy Up.
Enterprise Performance Management
As John O'Rourke notes, many organizations are adding additional precision, insight and decision support to their ERP implementations by considering Enterprise Performance Management. Attend the virtual tradeshow and hear from General Dynamics about their use of Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and Oracle BI to improve their planning, reporting and analysis processes and how these systems work with investments in Oracle E-Business Suite and other operational systems.
Theresa Hickman and her featured customer speakers will teach us all a lesson or two about staying current on the latest releases. Bryant and Stratton College will talk about their upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite Financials 12.1, The University of Central Florida will discuss their upgrade to PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials release 9.1 and
The Lennar Corporation will cover their strategy for keeping up with the latest in JD Edwards Financials.
Human Capital Management
Finally, Jay Richey from the Oracle HCM team has had his hands full covering many bases including the Fusion HCM session featuring Gretchen Alarcon from the strategy team, an E-Business Suite HCM 12.1 upgrade session featuring Agility and another session featuring Ernest Health's upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.1
We hope to see you there.
